It can level out varying input & demand in a scenario where 2 train stops might not always deliver stuff and assembler never need to have 2 full belts.
If your factory pulls enough stuff (from one belt), the throughput will just not be enough to keep belts full.
In that case you could upgrade from yellow to red to blue belts if you havn't done yet. Or you are at the point to build a 3rd belt.
Maybe just another splitter to balance belts 'down the line' after your demand might work, too.
- Each belt consists of 2 lanes. Left and right lanes.
- Splitter balancing only works for the same lane. You can balance between two belts, but only by the same lane.
|1|2| |3|4| - you will only be able to balance the load between 1 and 3, or 2 and 4. But NOT for 1 and 2, or 3 and 4, or 1 and 4(and etc.),
You need to mix the paths.
I feel like OP wanted to ask for a 2 way belt balancer IN and an even 4 even lane (on 2 belts) OUT .... but failed to say so ....then he ... OR SHE ...went
