what do you guys do with your excess copper?

im running with a few hundred millions of copper and a few millions of irons (draining iron for all my projects) i mean yea i do suck in iron (input and output of the thing just doesnt stop) but copper? whats is there to do? its a waste byproduct for now because most things require 1 copper for 15 iron or more, and i'd like some advice how to use them, cauz im pilling em too high. and im planning to mine everything in my base so....

Not sure what you talk about. On my current game copper is used almost equally (if not even more) than iron. You just need to expand and automate more stuff that needs copper.

As Zefnoly said, one uses copper nearly equally with iron. If you have too much, stop your copper trains and let it drain down a bit.

i stored somewhere in the area of 200 millions, and now my 600 smelters run cold, i use up to 1,5 million copper and 6 million iron per 50h, i run after stone for walls and concrete, i do plan on a mega base for when my 3 friend come back when the game have more content. i mostly ♥♥♥♥ around making my base bigger for more ressources. its gona be huuuuggge.

Do you have enough Level 3 Speed modules? If not, they are a really good way to throw copper at.

yeah, copper is like gold to me, without it, no circuts... what projects could you be runnin' and not be pumpin' out circuts like crazy, i'm just startin' to automate blue science and i cant keep enough copper, my stock yards are always empty. my advice, automate green, red and blue circut boards and piercing shells for your turrets, 5 copper and one steel per clip...

1,3k of t1 speed circuit in my logistics, maybe 400 t3 stored somewhere, and 5,3k blue chips, all 4 science donne 100%, like i said, we did big. so its pretty much only circuits eh, the think im not working on much for the need isnt on it.

Why are you storing so much? It's just easier to let it build on the belts and stop production when there's nothing left to produce.

The only place i have any sort of storage for copper is the steel chests used as buffers at the trainstations

I have a smart furnace setup connected to a smart buffer / storage for 1 million plates and 500k ores.
If the buffer(requestor and provider on a seperate drone network) is full and the base is not asking for more plates or ores, trains transport them to a bunker section.

i do a buffer zone (like screen above) and then use these chests as supliers, hence i can upscale any demand, and i smelt anything in range so i can build without having to debuild at one point these zones to get the small patches under my buildings, i dont really wana make a 2nd zone for my material because it tends to do like what im doing in the long run, reoptimising my chest placement and lines, wich takes time due to the sheer size, i use the masive chest tactic for the iron and it does goe smooth, but eh, iron for belts, iron for arms (and a bit of copper) iron for railworks, for trains make it so i do suck soo much iron, and so little copper, hence i wana drain it on a project, but i dont know what. Maybe i will make a huge led animation

maybe you made your map too simple (too much resources)
do all your buildings already have -80% energy? this will take alot copper :)
