How to access the "experimental" versions

Some updates won't get pushed out to players who are on the "stable"-branch of the game.

You need to activate the "experimental"-branch hidden in the "BETAS" tab of the games properties, then you will recieve the update.

If you are on the [experimental] branch and the update is not downloading - restart the Steam client.

Will 14 be available without the opting in at some point, or will that just skip to 15?

There should be a stable release of 0.14 when 0.15 becomes available as experimental.

Yendor, there are mods for that. Side Inserters, for example.

Nothing in the base game though.

And "Your Mother" (how apt): so many words when you just wanted to say "git gud".

now i could see a mod that the assembling machine had inputs that accepted items from belts. how likely that is i can't actually say but it is an idea.

search for "loader" on the mod plateform, there are a few different ones with their pros and cons each (2x1 size vs 1x1, some require power...).

(Was it worth a 2.5 years bump though?)
