I technically burned down the entire forest surronding them but i guess this means that i might aswell just leave it as is because they are never going to attack?
As you pollute a biter nest it absorbs pollution.
*If it's less than 20 pollution per tick, it is not enough to spawn a biter and it all goes away.
*If it's more than 20 pollution per tick 20 pollution from the hex is removed.
**In either of the above cases the pollution removed is added to this spawner's internal counter.
***Depending on the evolution level, this spawner is trying to spawn X biter/spitter next. Once it reaches the pollution cost of that biter/spitter, it will spawn it and deduct the cost from it's internal counter.
****Please note that the 20 pollution per tick is per spawner, if you have 15 spawners in a single map tile, they can absorb 300 pollution per tick for 300 pollution points of biters per tick! It's still counted individually per spawner though.
Now you have a new biter/spitter that is not part of the base guard. For now he does not attack, he moves off to a rally point for a preset amount of time.
When that time expires, the entire squad at the rally point will start to move towards the next biter base closer to the pollution that polluted this base, ant trail style, and join that squad, until their timer expires, or they get to something of yours they can start chewing on.
