fire at will after that
Now I just have to survive long enough for sentry guns to get unlocked. I am getting swarmed by more than 4 biters though - this feels like a bug ;)
I just completed the mission in 15min, killing 22 small biters and using 8 of 20 ammo you start with (I never used the smg). Running out of resources would be a challenge.
That's the story campaign ("New Hope"), which is why I included the name of the tutorial campaign ("First steps") earlier. OP's description doesn't sound like either campaign (in particular, lvl 3 of New Hope is car full of ammo & turrets) so maybe it's just a misunderstanding
After my 5th try, I survived by running away while shooting.
By the end (over 1 hour), I had 6 towers giving me some breathing space to tinker arround and have fun.
I am defenetly a slow gamer
Getting a "fast shooting action game" out of a game that literally autoaims all your weapons, has most combat done with autoturrets, has automatically targeting lasers and autonomous drones as two of the strongest combat options if you do want to fight yourself, and has optional enemies to begin with is a bit odd.
I am grateful the tutorial let me see this. before spending $$. If the actual game doesn't play this way, they might want to adjust the tutorial to make that clear. Just going by the tutorial, the emphasis is on defense and fighting, making that appear to be a major part of the game play. That's not what I was looking for, and that's fine. As popular as the game is, I doubt they'll care much about one person's purchase.
Who cares, as long as you have fun :-)
Console commands aren't available in the demo but I'm not sure I'd want to alter things that way anyhow. I think it would feel too much like cheating or at the very least I wouldn't be playing the game as it was intended by the developer. Which for some is fine but I think it's kind of an odd way to go about handling it. I'd prefer an all-purpose difficulty setting overall.
Of course this game isn't going to be for everyone but I'd imagine there's thousands out there that tried the demo and felt the same way. My suggestion would be to re-work the tutorial to at least make suggestions on how to setup a defense. Also consider adding a difficulty settings like "easy" "standard" "hard" and " insane" or something.
As has been mentioned I suppose with the massive success this game has had the dev probably don't really care about a few people's opinions but I cared enough to share anyway.
