Replace glass panes!
Like the title says. Currently, if a pre-placed glass window breaks, it's gone forever, meaning there's now a hole in your base if you decide to camp there.

I think it'd be nice if you could replace glass panes with your own glass shards, or even upgrade them with reinforced glass with more materials.

I like this idea and would support this if,
the dang critters didn't attack it on sight, like they do to everything else you place.

They should really prioritize base defenses and crafting benches instead of decorations and storage...

As well as having critters (and other hostiles) ignoring stuff that doesn't look out of place.

Though it would be weird if they ran head first into dangerous traps, unless that was the only path.

I support this idea and I think that it is technically already possible - if you have the Simple Loot option turned on, glass panes will occasionally respawn after being broken, so the game already has a way of replacing broken glass panes.

I'd like to add that I think it would be cool if they added the ability to craft barricade boards to put on windows (and anything else, I guess) to help mitigate the glass being broken as often.

Wish this was in the game. I go out of my way to try and lure enemies away from glass panes so that they don't break them, and get a bit sad when they break by mistake.

In the new current run I'm in I break the ones that are likely at risk of being broken eventually to at least collect the glass. Even then, glitches have caused the glass to occationally clip through the floor and disappear. :steamsad:
Sometimes just can't win.

Devs could use this as a way to get rid of certain excess materials. I've got a surplus of glass and plastic that i've not needed.
I support this idea!

This would be great. If I'm not mistaken, some of the devs already want something like this too, but they're still trying to figure out the system they wanna put behind it. So there's a high chance we'll get something like this at some point, just not particularly soon.

I shatter every window I see for melee xp :hmm:
agreed yes please. I'm trying to live in the executive offices, and like half of the cool semi-transparent windows are already broken because of pecks ramming into them! (And my own clumsy spear-work)
