Rat suit drops are crazy low. I feel like it could be increased above what I can only assume is under 10% because farming 30 rats for no drop is agonizing

I must have some insane luck, I'v only butchered about 30 rats and got like 5 suits on my current save. Wasn't that hard of a drop and backpack was just beat the netted rat to death with a non-elemental blunt object like the rats own scanner.

I've really come to despise this: "gimme gimme gimme, for free and instant" attitude. Things that are not hard to get are worthless and forgotten immediately. Do you remember your first scratch metal? No? Go figure.

Do you? This is actually insane behavior. There is so much ♥♥♥♥ in this world that we all have to deal with, why would getting a generic resource in a videogame warrant recording to long term memory?

It's just where you end up when you've seen one too many games ruined by "want it all, now and without effort" people.

This is what happens: The complainers get the game dumped down. They get all the stuff in hours instead of enjoying the progress and time playing. But of course the novelty wears of quick and they leave. Game is ruined. New players don't join or leave early.

Same. Imo both could be luck based and much rarer.

it has no weight reduction, unlike the sciency backpack, nor the special effect, like the radio backpack.

Pretty much this, weight reduction stats.

Before I got to the Research Pack (currently best pack in the game, but very late game) I went with the Military Pack for a good mix of slots and weight reduction.

If I was expecting to carry or loot a lot of different items, I might get the Rat Pack, but typically I ran into weight issues more often. If really wanted more slots, I'd break out the Platform Cart when going on a big loot hunt.

Even if it has no weight reduction, it has far more inventory space than any other pack except for the Research Pack (which you only get much later in the game) and the Rat Pack can be acquired as soon as you have the Net Launcher, so it's a pack that can help a lot while exploring Manufacturing and most of Labs/Containment.

A vehicle isn't supposed to replace your inventory. You can use a backpack AND a vehicle.

Which, sure, is doable, but is also a lot of work. And vehicles are still not replacements for backpacks, you can still use both.

Furniture store, flathills, and train all require multiple trips if you want everything. If you want to be pedantic and exclude furniture as a loot, then just the latter two.
