I got kicked when I playing with my friends

Have your friend invite you to play through Steam and enter the password.
That should work. Unless they did ban you ... good luck

If you were banned (joking or otherwise) the game should let you know that fact.

If it doesn't then it really should.

This happened to my friend's game as well. I left the game and then came back, and then the game said I was kicked, and my friend definitely didn't kick or ban me.

Dedicated server or hosted on friends pc? If their hosting and their net dropped might have just been that?

the easiest fix is to just message them to see what happened, there's not much anyone here can tell you.

If it is a glitch (and not some connection issue) and you know what called it, the devs will want to know. It isn't fun to just get kicked randomly.

I also just randomly got kicked by the game not the player I was with, and now I am also unable to play as every time I rejoin it says I am kicked

Same here friend got kicked from my game and can't rejoin, doesn't show anyone in the ban list.

Hosted on friend's PC. Don't believe their internet connection dropped out, or they would have noticed. I had disconnected and turned off the game for about 15 minutes. When I rejoined, I was in-game but after a few seconds, was kicked back the menu with the "You have been kicked from the server" message.
Looking into the admin commands, she found a few weird looking entries listed under banned players, even though she had never banned anyone before, none of them were my profile, and removing them didn't resolve it anyways.

The only thing that worked eventually was her completely closing the game and then restarting the game again.

Those two 'examples' in the ban list are literally examples. I've seen those as soon as I opened up the admin menu and got a chuckle. Those should be fine.

Glad to hear that a restart clears it up. I wonder if there is a way to get a log file of what's going on so so the devs can fix it.

This is happening to me too. Friend hosted a server and we played no issue for about 3 hours, then we tried again the next day, I joined for a few seconds before getting kicked, then every time we tried after I was kicked instantly after joining. Restarting the game or even our whole pc for both of us never worked, still can't join.

What fixed it for me was port forwarding port 7777. Was able to connect after that.

I'm getting kicked myself now after the update. Friend invite, restarting both computers, checking the integrity of game files, nothing works.

If anyone got a fix to this, would be nice to know.
