Scrap Metal Farm
Anyone have any good suggestions for farming scrap metal late game or at least what qualifies as late game atm?

I'm burning through it way too quickly and there's not really an efficient way to restock at the pace I'm burning through it that I've found as of yet.

you can get some metal scrap back from drinking the sodas from vending machines.
-- not too sure about many other ways to get more consistently.

Get CPUs from robots, trade them in for Anvils with the Blacksmith, salvage the Anvils.

Honestly that'll probably do it. I can just go on a robot killing rampage and that'll easily compensate for what I'm going through if each can gives a scrap.

Thank you!

And as mentioned, you can also trade the CPUs for Anvils and then salvage those, so you get scrap both from drinking sodas and from trading in the CPUs.

Lead vests not sure what their actual name is, but they give 8 metal if you recycle it.

Also scared Lab Rats will drop metal scraps, among other things while fleeing so don't kill them and occasionally check the stuff that litters the floor.

Along with the other great suggestions already in this thread, disassembling furniture in Flathill is always an option.

Yep. And when dismantled at the station, it sometimes gives more resources. Like, director's chair give you money when disasembling on the station. And also, if want raw resources right here and right now, but you're building skill is too big (low chance of failure) you can use hammer for disasembling. With high building it also give you x2 resources with 50% chance)

Head into Flathill with a hammer and deconstruct filing cabinets?

recommend trip mines and just get the bots to walk in them you just have to package them to reset them you dont need screws

Infinite scrap metal from the Train, scrap the lights. They give 1 scrap metal each and can recycle for 1 metal each.

Robot farm hands down. A teslacoil will down a robot every night and the CPU trades for 20(!) scrap metal

That got nerfed and you can only hold 1 unit of tripmine per inventory slot now.

The Choppinator is still a useful tool in the end when combined with shock traps.

Also a interesting combination is jump pads or gaseous nests, if aligned properly you can bounce the robot into the ceiling and possibly make it get stuck so it can be easily killed? But a walled kill zone with tesla coil is best actually since 4 of them is sufficient to stunlock them (it takes 4 shocks in a row to stagger the bot).

Nah cpu for anvils is best for the volume, the sconce lamps are just good light replacement if you don't wanna craft wall lamps, plus are brighter and larger.

They didn't nerf wall lamps though so removing the foundation makes them float (I think, the craftable one is 100% able to float).
