but yeah try leveling aiming
-- the more you use it, the better it gets.
Well I'm not a scientist, I picked the security guard and holding a chair leg crossbow or gun shouldn't have any impact on suffering from severe parkinsons. I will keep at it levelling up for the cure 😁
Noted. Thanks
Effective range increases with your aiming skill
Like Atlas pointed out above, this is your effective range, not the weapon's. The higher your Accuracy, the further you can aim while keeping it stable.
I mean... The graphics aren't "woeful", it's just the game's art style, which is supposed to be inspired by the first HL game and other older games.
Well that's a matter of opinion on the graphics quality. With the powerful cards worth a small fortune these days, why can't we have good graphics and a decent game? I have a rig worth 2k plus at the moment and I'm playing a game with half life graphics 😂. Computer gaming seems to be devolving on the graphics front. The ones with realistic graphics recently have been a mixed bag of ok and terrible. Won't stop me playing this game anyway. Would be nice if the dev could get plenty funds and in the future maybe upgrade the graphics once ue5 had bedded in. Well I better get levelling up!
Again, graphic quality and art style are not the same thing.
A game deliberately using an art style based on older games doesn't mean the graphics are bad. And just because you have a powerful rig, doesn't mean that every game needs to have ultra-quality realistic graphics.
How much you enjoy said art style is a matter of opinion. Understanding the difference between graphic quality and art style is not.
And no, I hope they maintain the same art style regardless of budget. That's exactly part of the game's charm, which would be lost if they tried to update it to "modern graphics".
Same purpose serve things like "puke on your teammate, they get sick and puke back on you, creating endless cycle of puke". Or that weapons and armor we used are constructed from various sci-fi junk scattered through facility. Or that we make tasty food from otherwordly components and alien creatures on makeshift stove in makeshift pots.
In other words, while game gives you serious situation, it doesn't demand you to take it seriously.
And stylized visuals will ALWAYS outlive "realistic" ones.
Case and point, Crash Twinsanity vs. GTA San Andreas.
