Just make sure to not sit idle while fighting, otherwise you're gonna end up riddled with bullets. Hide when reloading or not attacking.
Also, if you get within melee range, they'll likely stop shooting to try and use melee on you, which will stop them from shooting. You can use this to your advantage by moving out of their range before they hit you or just blocking with a Shield.
Getting at least 2 pieces of Forge armor will help since it not only gives more Armor but also gives you a small chance to deflect bullets.
Well I have access to the helmet, chestplate and arms but not leg armor of the FORGE set for some odd reason. I thought the bonus applies when you have all 4 equipped for the bullets to bounce?
Sets have a smaller bonus with 2 parts and the full bonus with 4. Hover your cursor over one of the pieces and you'll see.
Ok will check it out eventually. Thanks.
Also don't forget you can carry around mobile cover with you. A reinforced wood barricade (short) only weighs a few pounds. Also the re-armable tripmines can kill them rapidly if you bring a few with you, and they only need screws to re-arm.
