What is Antejuice for?
You have to get past the Maze Of Demonic Crystal Spiders, so it seems sorta important. Other then making Weird Soups I don't know what it's for, though.

Since you thirst for discussion: Antejuicecat the point of the game I found it in, effectively eliminates thirst needs, alone as a drink and as a soup ingredient. Which makes me concerned of devs nerfing it. But even then, the portal at the bottom of the lake takes you to an outcropping that, with a bit of parkour, leads to two water tanks for infinite water.
inb4 devs add in a debuff called 'antejuice addiction'.

I honestly don't see why they'd need to nerf it? It's incredibly out of the way and basically just amounts to... carrying less water around? Even with increased thirst I only ever carried a cup of soup throughout my playthroughs. When I finished my first playthrough without finding literally any use for it, I just figured it was an unfinished feature. Once you get the instant-purification barrels set up, antejuice is pretty much entirely irrelevant since soup covers both food and water utility in one inventory slot and you'll be able to have a fully running farm without boiling water for five hours.

maybe it'll have a crafting use when we get liquid teleportation(ABF's equivalent of plumbing) in the crush update

Where exactly is this infinite water source? After I go through that portal and parkour around I only see 2 cisterns near Frake's base, but they have tainted water. Do you mean them or is there a source of clean water somewhere nearby?

Well, technically there's multiple infinite water sources. Any tainted source allows you to boil it if need be to create infinite clean water, there's also a perk that lets you just drink tainted water. The Antejuice is found through the mineshaft area near Farke's base (if you exit from the Tram area that needed a key to open in Manufacturring West, just go straight and hug the left wall) Antejuice can't be used to water crops though.

Once you get to labs and find the Refined Carbon you can make a Barrel with a Water Filter on it, placing any tainted water into it instantly cleans it.

You can even setup base defenses by Security Robot spawn locations and farm them for infinite soda and Vending Machines respawn their sodas/snacks and you can Shake them with enough Strength Stat to get their goodies for free, though it takes awhile.

The later zones seem to have less Infinite Tainted Water sources, but you can use Barrels and Water Dispensers to pack some up then transfer it via Forklift to the base you want it at, only ever needing like 1 Water Filter Barrel per base as you can just dump the tainted water into it whenever the need arises.

I think what trips people out is that until you know the secret, water is kinda hard to get. I found that boiling 6-8 pots at once and using the hotbar to do it quickly was a pretty good source of clean water that kept 3~ scientists going without worries.

The Labs are where the game "gets going" in many aspects. Where folks get confused is the change between having to spend 15~ minutes boiling water to generate a few thousand water units to just being able to instantly generate as much water as you need within seconds.

I like the suggestions where the filter is actually a two barrel system and you fill one with tainted water so that over time it generates clean water in the output barrel with a 10-20% loss. I feel like everybody wins here: Users who don't like doing batch-boiling get a much faster and productive way to get water while users that dislike the "magical" feeling of the water filter see it changed to be a bit more "fair".

I've said it before; if the information in the thread is still relevant, it's not a necro.

Necroposting is a problem when the necropost adds absolutely nothing to the discussion at all (say, to bump a post explicitly to make fun of someone who's complaining about an unnecessary post bump). And on threads where the main premise of the original post is outdated due to game updates, it can cause confusion and arguments as well.

it`s water that is always good to drink, gives double hydration of normal water, but you can`t make soup from and water plants with it

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
