I think he means the bank, the building with the big door on ground level where the composers can enter.
^ This, it's the bank. Right after you get past the first encounters, you'll go into the bank. Explore the rooms inside the bank and you'll find quite a few Staplers.
haha what? I played this game solo and I never visited a portal world more than once, except to get more gel. Maybe there was one time where I thought "huh, I need more staplers" but that was it.
I only made a few medium crates because it seemed that per sq footage they were actually worse. Almost twice as wide but only 66% more storage. I don't know about the large crates because I didn't unlock that recipe.
A personal tip, I set the 'stack size' much higher in custom setting, I found messing about with stacks was nothing but an irritating time sink. In that context it's always beneficial to have more item slots in a single crate, less jumping from one crate to another to find where you stored item X.
argh it didn't even occur to me to pick up the magazine stands
(So strong, you could practically use that crate as a defense)
There is no Large Crates (yet), but there is a Hazard Crate that is easy to miss if you never pick up the Magazine Stands in Flathill. It blocks all radiation, but unfortunately you can't stack those on top of each other.
Even though I'd prefer Medium to Large Filling Cabinets for most of my storage needs through much of the game, I later went with Medium Crates because I'd rather not have my storage get popped by some chance spiky potato, or whatever unlikely event some enemy gets to my storage.
Depending on your base layout (or where you happen to be at while exploring), he might be hard to find at night. Or you could feed him like 3-5 times in a night if things line up well.
I'd still recommend Flathill for a more reliable (and cheaper) source of staplers.
I have a crate where i store the cans from the bot farming, most of the time a combination of those works on him.
