I personally didn't find it too bad, although I do agree that it breaking items is a little frustrating.
You're welcome.
Have you ever thought of placing the furniture NOT in the way of the laser?
You can mount the prism on the side FYI.
After I made like 5 deflectors, and merged all the near by beams together (because the deflector description said it weakened the beam), and after breaking the little spot with a disheartening glass break, and still working at it for another half hour or an hour because nothing seemed to have happened and I thought I did something wrong.
To say that the puzzle wasn't finished and could use some explaining is a little bit of an understatement.
I know the game isn't finished yet, but some note hinting that this was more unfinished than normal would have helped out a lot of people.
I'd actually be disappointed if the laser puzzle is intended to be solved with what's available right now
With the way stuff is worded and how the deflectors are setup, it looks like it should be way easier to understand, way less finicky, but yet way more involved to solve (like an actual puzzle), than it actually is.
Popping the little portal thing with one beam is likely not going to cut it when it is properly implemented.
