Bad performance
I have an i7 7700k and a zotac 1080ti and this games just sucks on it 'cause lag as ♥♥♥♥ even when I drop the settings to low, it continues to lag. I don't know what is happening 'cause my rig is brand new so I think the problem is optimization.

The game isn't optimised at all, it's using 40 - 50% of my GPU and CPU but the frame rate is low and there's tons of hitching while running around outside. 6700k @ 5GHz, GTX 1080, 16GB 3200MHz, SSD. The devs have totally abandoned the game.

Dude that's the problem here it uses 30% to 40% and 40 to 50% of my processor and the game is lag as ♥♥♥♥ like 60fps than drops to 48 and goes up to 55fps and never capped at 60fps. The game optmization is a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and now I can't have my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ refound on this one 'cause I tried 3 hours opmizing this ♥♥♥♥ instead of playing.

Try upping the res with a 1080 ti since I assume you are playing at 1080p causing a CPU bottleneck, I can hold 60fps with max settings and AA turned down at 4k with a 1600/1080 ti.

Having the game installed on an SSD will help with new area loading stutters.

Gameplay works fine for me

However when I talk to someone the game goes into slideshow mode

The CPU load does not affect the screen resolution !! What are you writing?

Screen resolution affects CPU load and will give smoother more consistent FPS if you are hitting a CPU limitation at 1080p, fps drops are a ♥♥♥♥♥ when you hit a CPU limitation.

An example is you get 90fps at 1080p but in some places it drops below 60fps along with your GPU usage because the game engine is using all the threads it is programmed to use for draw calls at 90fps and can't keep up when it over so it takes a dive into stutter territory. If you up the res the FPS will drop to say 70 fps and stay under your CPU's choking point and not drop fps due to a CPU limitation. This helped smooth out gameplay for tons of people with AC:O

It can definitely help smooth out gameplay with more consistent FPS in a CPU limited scenario. It's easy to test this by watching your GPU usage and see if it is dropping with the FPS drops, the CPU doesn't have to necessarily be at 100% because the engine might only scale to a couple cores.

Very easy to test with DSR.

But the strange thing that occurs is that my CPU on AC:Origins is used in 100% capacity and It's strange 'cause my GPU just uses 40% so wtf ? And my resolution is 1920x1080. Oh I remembered something I've reinstalled the windows and now the game runs 60fps smoothly on my PC, so I dunno what was causing the lag.

Still no patch, these devs are really taking the piss at this point.

That's a load of massive crap. I can't hold 60 fps at 4k with the game on medium on a 2080ti ftw3 ultra, 32 gigs ddr4, i7 5820 with all 6 cores at 4.8ghz and the games on an Intel nvme sad

Hell even lowering the res to 1440p I still get drops and since the game has come out I've reset Windows so there's no issue with my PC. I've also tried it on about 20 driver revisions since it came out AND not only did I try the steam version I also tried the gamepass version with exactly the same results.

It's just a poorly made game that has badly optimized data streaming. 4k60 on a 1080ti... Get out of here

Also upping the res wouldn't help a cpu bottleneck it would make it way worse. You knowledge of computers is severely lacking as is your ability to tell the truth

Oh! I solved the problem by using dual-channel RAM. Now is smooth as silk.
