Can't change in-game language to English

Hi,

It seems the only option I have is to play in Polish (with polish subs) since I've bought a Polish distribution from the store. Is there no way to change the language to English? I'd honestly rather not test the translation quality in an RPG...

Hi, I tried to mess with it to find how exactly it works but I didn't succeed. I did stop because at one point I wasn't able to make it English again. So I left it as it is to play. I would like to help you but as I said I could not reproduce the steps necessary to switch it to English 100%.

You can first try this:

Try to follow what Martan provided here justpaste.[it]/Vampyr_ENG. (remove brackets to access link)
You will need to unpack the steam files in the game directory with the UE4 unpacker to get to the localization folder. Then remember to update the game.ini file in your local storage and voila.
I hope your vampires start speaking English soon :)

Yup, stopped working, it seems that the unpacked localization files are removed on application start... if only the developers would use their apparent ingenuity to actually make the language available.
I'll do my best to make it work again somehow.

Just repeat the steps - it's still working ;)

First delete the localization.pak recheck w. Steam to dl the latest one - just to be sure.
Unpak it. Delete all the PL as previously. Make sure you have the config file "Game.ini" locked - right click the file in Win Explorer and set it in Attributes section to be "Read-only" hit OK.

Where should I paste it? Sorry, I dont really get it and I dont understand ♥♥♥♥ when it's in Polish and I need English.

Okay, so I'll update this - since initial posting the link for the UE4 unpacker is dead and I can't modify my link in the justpaste.it.

Just follow these steps:

1) Download the UE4 Unpacker from here

2) Open the UE4PakUnpacker.exe and select the file from the next step

3) File: "AVGame-WindowsNoEditor-Localization.pak"
It is located here: ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Vampyr\AVGame\Content\Paks\
(You need to know where your Steam Library folder is located and browse to it)

4) After unpacking, it will create new folder "Localization" in here:
..\Steam\steamapps\common\Vampyr\AVGame\Content\Localization\

5) Browse to this folder
Next you need to browse through all "Game_GT_xx" and "Game_VO_xx" directories and delete all the Polish "pl-PL" directories inside.

6) One last step is to check your System locale of Windows 10
Start > Open Settings app (WIN+I shortcut) > Time & Language > Region & language > Administrative language settings > Change system locale

I have the same problem but i'm using Nvidia Geforce Now, is there anything that can be done??
