Probably have to change the main character. Johnathon fits the self-loathing vampire trope pioneered (I think) by Louis in Anne Rice's novels. Maybe a change to a Lestat type protagonist - who enjoyed a more red-blooded approach to undeath.

When you 'turn' new clan members would they inherit some of you traits through your blood?
I do think it sold well enough to justify a sequel. I think it made a pretty decent profit and it was overall well revieved. I would say it has a pretty loyal and invested following but it wasn't like a big hype. Which does of course not mean it isn't a wonderful game, because I believe it was. But games like this tend to move slow but steady.
