Vampires and the sun
We heave lore and gameplay evidences that sun rays will burn the vampires. And yet in the last chapter we are clearly walking outside with sun over the horizon. Whats up with that?

sun rays doesn't touch you, the sky is getting clear because the sun is rising but the sun isn't touching the ground, idk if I'm explaining myself.
The sun is rising but is just illuminating the sky?

He didn't spoil anything so relax your ass.
Back on topic - in one of the text you can find info what sun doesn't kill vampires, but burn them to bones, but they can regenerate after that. In VTMB sunrise means insta death for you.
You're in shadows. I'd imagine it's sun rays that hurt vampires. Direct exposure. However, the last location is almost completely covered in shadow.

But there are many times I stood in the sun with sunlight reflecting off my skin

I've also had this question, glad I'm not the only one guess it's just a weird plot hole

Since vampires do not really exist, everyone can create his own lore, sometimes very different from the "standard" one (cough cough Twilight, cough cough!)
In Vampyr lore only direct sun rays hurt vampires, turn them into smoking bones but later, when darkness comes, they regenerate and revive.

And In the last chapter Dr. Reid says he has to hurry because the sun is raising, showing he is uncomfortable with the situation

I suppose it fits with the lore, but I think if they moved it back about 15 minutes in time so to say, so that it was a little less bright out, then it'd have felt more natural (afterall, Jonathan went from crawling out of a mass grave at what appearaed to still be night (hard to tell being B/W) and then on the run, suddenly some light thru the buildings or a broken ceiling (didnt get a good look where it came from) was enough to cause him to start to burn. He didnt seem to have much time from the first moments of dawn to deadly sunlight.

Perhaps, pushing it back to earlier dawn or just before, then getting into the castle could have even been a timed puzzle, a little break from all the dialogue at the end.

Well Jonathan office has a hole in the wall to let him get out unseen at night. During the day that should be a real problem! We don't see him closing that doorway in any cutscene, so either we use our fantasy, or that's bad... unless the lore gets us covered.

The "direct sun" thing it's ok to me (although I really prefer the Vampire: the Requiem 2nd edition mechanic), It enhances a bit vampires' survivability, allowing more freedom in story development... and also opens more scenarios in my mind: for example, in a cloudy day there's no direct sunlight (but clouds can move away...)

By the way, at first I really thought that in the last chapter, the sun was really rising as in a timed puzzle ! I was so charmed by the location that I lost focus for a moment. I even wrote a post here some times ago about it

The fact that you walk outside is a spoiler?

thats a good point i hadnt thought of with the shelters (and even in the castle with its windows)

I did at first think the castle ending was a timed puzzle too, and I think it would have been more exciting had it been.

If the sun lights up the area then the rays are definitely touching the ground. That's how light works. You see because light hits your eyes.

We can see at night (and presumably vampires can do so better) due to light that reflects off the moon (plus what little comes from the stars- which the sun is)... and of course they can go out at night. So presumably it is only /direct/ sunlight, not reflected sunlight (or gaslamp light, etc) that will hurt them. There was even a letter in Lady Ashbury's castle from a friend who agreed to accommodate her delicate health condition that required she not be out beyond dawn or before dusk supporting this
