I used Cheat Engine to increase my exp and now I am stuck at level 1 (Solved)

It's a completely offline game. So please don't judge me. This is how I enjoy my games. I don't have the time nor the energy to grind. I hope you'll understand.

Now back to the topic, I played the game for 4 hours and now at chapter 3. I figured I have to grind too much, since I dont kill NPCs for xp. So I used cheat engine to set my xp to 100000. And my level got set to 1 locking everything. What do I do now? Any fix or I have to restart the whole game?

Update: Solved it myself. I used a cheat-table to increase my level. Baam! Now I am just level 99 with 1000000 XP. Over powered af. Game became boring. So restarted the whole thing.

You don't need to kill citizens for exp -- just doing the side missions, getting hints, and healing people will be enough. If you'd like a non-cheat engine way of starting with max exp, there's a glitched save on Nexus Mods on normal mode at the first hideout. There are also saves at pillar decisions with normal exp if you want to restart further in.

I don't know how to fix issues with cheat engine though. If you have a backup save I guess you can try turning off the cheat and loading the backup?

Did the same thing like 2 years ago. I can't remember if I reverted my save or not, but I think I had to. This was back when they accidentally left in the skill menu XP button, which is what I ended up using.

now that's funny. i've done both embrace all (londons burning) and kill no-one (not even once) runs, on hard. it is diffiicult at times during a no kill run but thats why it's a no kill run. getting the best ending is meaningless if you cheat.

+1 for the devs for gimping cheaters.

It sounds like a cheap hack, because that's what happens when you only change one of the two properties for XP. If it's a savegame adjustment then the same amount must be added to both EvolutionXPToSpend and TotalExperience. It's actually pretty easy to fix if you are a bit tech-minded, but it requires a bit of work involving ZLib and a Hex Editor.

No. I DID use cheat engine. But the game doesn't handle it well. It sometimes gets bugged and makes you stuck in a certain level. I think that didn't happen in later patches.

There are cheat tables for cheat engine. Try installing cheat engine and then download a cheat table for this game and import it. Most cheat tables will have dedicated level button. Just rank it up. It's that easy

I have already check what active script i want and "set hotkeys" for, but when i start the game, use and activate the script, nothing happen to unlock levels...
