Hard mode advice

For those who finished the game on hard mode what weapons did you used? Is it possible to progress as a "good" doctor?

I've been having pretty good luck using two handed weapons so far, but it doesn't seem to be overly difficult either way. How do you define "good" doctor? No embrace or only a couple?

Please, how do you enable the hard mode?

Is it some kind of new game + after you finish the game? Because i dont see the option

It's a difficulty setting, you enable it when starting a new game.

Yes, no embrace or something, I want to experiment a bit with the story.

Yes, no embrace or something, I want to experiment a bit with the story.

I've only embraced a handful of citizens (around 3 I think), and I haven't run into much trouble at all. Since you won't be able to grind for experience as easily, I would say to make sure you spend your experience wisely. I'm fond of stamina upgrades along with bite upgrades using a two handed weapon. Deals a good chunk of damage and stun at the same time, which means you can get a free bite in pretty often to let your stamina recharge and gain some blood back for healing. To be honest, the main thing is to get good at dodging. Then you should be golden.

Thanks, what weapons did you used? The last boss it's quite hard with 2H

Haven't made it to the final boss yet on this playthrough, but I always keep upgrading a backup weapon set. So if the two handed doesn't work out, I'll probably switch to one handed. Currently using the mace, although the barbed cudgel is quite effective as well.
