Cadogan Bates hint with crane bug: won't give

Okay, so.. talked to him before dealing with nurse crane, and asked him about her.. didn't get the option for the hint.. so it bugged there.. just finish the situation with her.. talked to him again.. he didn't present option to get hint this time either.. so.. I'm omw to the hospital to report to the lady, and conclude this.. maybe he'll give the option after that, I dunno.. but so far this looks bugged.

It was definitely bugged for the first chance at the hint, I know that much.. Asking about crane.. why are you thankful type bit: didn't show up.

Sorry to hear the quest bugged out. I suggest making manual backups of your saves in case you haven't yet. Maybe the main quest bug you had previously is having some sort of ripple effect. It might be fine, I don't know. I hear that if you skip through the dialogue it can glitch quests too. Atmospheric but buggy.

After I reported the situation to the Lady vamp at the hospital (regarding crane), then talked to Swansea.. When chapter 3 started/head to cemetery.. I made my rounds, and eventually talked to bates again.. I got the option asking if he heard anything recently about her clinic..

He gave the hint that time, so the 2nd option for getting it worked. It's just the first that bugged. Now that he is all healed, and full xp is there.. time to kill bates, once I'm done with the sewers/Sean Hampton.

I think I'm about where I was the last time I tried to play this game, so it's new going forward.. Excited to see what happens. The bugs I've noticed so far aren't too serious at least (this and others not mentioned).
