Before Facing Geoffrey MacCullen
I didn't make much head way up against him the first few times, so I had John withdraw from that encounter and went return back to his private quarters to rest and evolve the 9000+ XP he had on him and seeing this initally didn't seem to amount to much by this stage. I decided to reset the Vampyre Skills and now, They are all locked. I can't spend the 53000+ XP, I got back from that. What should I do?

In a act of desperation, I decided to have John embrace (eat) Tippets to see if this would unlock the blood skills again, but to no avail and I went up and faced MaCullen again to only go down even quicker.

So, why do blood skils stay lock after resetting? Makes no sense to me.

I think you NEED autophagy since almost everything else needs atleast lvl 1 to aquire it. Is autophagy also locked for you?

when you reset your at lv one again...start choosing skills and you will start lv up again. some skills require to be certain lvs/other skills to be unlock to be attainable. look at the skill you want and it should state on it what you need to unlock it. i think thats how it goes...never really reset my skills at that lv before. make sure you weapons are upgrades too and having alot of stamia is important. need do alot of dodging with him(and sun light and his crossbow shots) hmm, he lv 32 for the fight right(mcullen) you need be above lv 24 for that fight. always hit/stack;stun him from behind when he runs pass you. claw and the ultra power that hold vitim up in air by all limbs and then stacks them is good for him too. shot gun when him getting low on hp too help bring him down faster also at the end of fight. never hit or fight him straight on; his hit are faster and hurt alot. hit him from behind or to his sides always moving(dodging). leave enough stamia for your self when you rest tiny bet to get full stamia again and repeat. basicly let him come to you unless you have him stun or utlra on him go in quickly hit/claw and back away/dodge.

below is what i choose for his skills if that would help(had for at end of game; no kill npc run):

I just started my second play through right up until he first enters the hospital and is given his own office to rest in and I nw do notice that Autophagy is the only one unlocked from the start and I also didn't embrace Clay Cox and my eyes look normal now, still. It's interesting to know that embracing victims will cause the redness.

I'll worry about that later. I do notice you can't get at him without him taking a descent chunk of lif out me and when I came at him without any Blood skills, I was even more vunerable.

close but still got somethings to do...this dude is hardest miniboss compare to the rest of boses in game. mary fight was easier then this one. and last fight is way easier too. you need more stamia and less something else. you are running out of stamia to quick and he doesnt really let you rest...this fight is consist moving. you dont have enough shots...were blood ones? i quessing you got hp only there. and i dont see leap forward skill on your build either. you cant be glass cannon with this boss. you be damages him with bite/ultra move/claw(think you choose something else)/sword. when you skills or weapons let you make the stun do that in the upgrade and also make sure enable blood drain on victims with weapons. you have to balance your character...to much in one direction wont work.

The trick is always distance, stay far away and dodge his bolts, then lay into him after he does his rush attack. He doesn't resist bullets either, so toss some of those at him too!

I never use Leap Forward, because I just can't get the move to work for me, I also have trouble moving around and avoiding his rush attacks, not to mention daylight coming through holes in the ceiling. (A great touch btw.) I reset again, do I lose xp and com out even weaker each time? In the end I think comes down to dodge skills.

I found out the gun is very good against him.
