too weak for whitechapel?

So I've gotten my character to Level 10, and the only quest I have left is to go to White Chapel. As soon as I cross the bridge all the enimies are level 11-13 and there's a bunch of em that swarm. I'm not the best combat gamer here, is there anything else I've missed that could help get my level up? :( getting slaughtered pretty quick.

other than finding all hints, since they also give experience, and curing illnesses... a really slow way to gain experience, is to for example go back to the docks, and kill all enemies there... (5 exp per kill, lvl 5 enemies)
Also, this is a decent spot to just not attack anything, and try defending a bit... try to learn movements of enemies....
Another decent hint will ofcourse be: check the work table, and try to get the weapon you're using to lvl 3 (blue), including some updates... try to figure out what kind of stuff you want on it/them ;)

Try going for a more dps oriented build. Also upgrade your heath and bite attack that allows you to gain health. If worse comes to worse just embrace the landlord and Joe's son. Or go for the throat and embrace nurse crane.
However; if you simply want to get better, weirdjudge is correct, just learn the moves of lower level enemies. Their attak patterns don't really change with an increaded level.

I'd suggest taking the first commenter's advice. Throughout this game you'll consistently face enemies that are a few levels above you, and it's probably best to learn how to fight them at this stage in the game, rather than struggling a lot when it gets harder later on.

thanks everyone, I'm a low level gamer so this game is just a bit above my usual capabilities haha but I really enjoy the story so I am trying hard to push through.

I have found most of the hints, I drained the guy who I saved from the stomach wound (drained him on our second meeting) and I have been healing everyone. As far as I know I've done the first set of side quests at the hospital (find the wallet, save Oswald, follow the guy in the sewers, get the supplies to make the medical materials etc) I've also been levelling up all my skills, and my weapons.

I just suck at combat haha

If it really gets to you and you don't want to embrace someone there is the XP exploit available to help up your combat skills:

Go to your skills page and press O and P keys at the same time. (not sure what keypad buttons are though) NOTE: The XP gain is very VERY rapid and it only takes about full second (give or take) to increase your XP by 1000 so just use short quick taps

I wouldn't recommend using the exploit especially if this is your first run through to endgame because I'm not sure yet if and/or how it might throw off other timers like the health of a district or mesmerize(sp?) etcetra.

so I got into whitechapel using all your suggestions, I've gone through everything, and now I am headed back to the hospital and I keep ending up in this area with a bunch of hunters and a fire starter hunter. I can kill all the hunters until it's just the firestarter but he keeps killing me no matter what lol and whitechapel is almost in crisis!

I don't get why my white chapel keeps going down, every day I heal EVERYONE lol
