What NPC's are "safe" to feed/kill?
Anyone know of NPC's that are irrelevant to the story or provide no services, trade, quests or otherwise? Ive been conflicted on who to feed from. So far I havent done so on any NPC's, but only because the combat is too easy to justify the tradeoff for XP.

none of them. It's your choice. Enemies in the main storyline will now about your side quest choices and reference them when facing you.

The whole point of this is choice and consequence, you want to be strong? you will have consequences, if you want to avoid killing, you will find it tougher to play this game.

Which i find highly refreshing.

Overall, just do your best to pick people to feed on and kill and hope the consequences are not that bad.

Oh come on, theres got to be some NPC's that are relatively useless for the story, considering theres 60 some odd number of them.

The petty ones, real basic characters that give low XP and arent part of the main story is what Im looking for. Anyone know of any?

For example the first guy you interact with when you go to the hospital, he stabs some other dude and the game prompts you to either consume him or free him. He gives an investigation to find some knife, but after that is done would it not be safe to feed from him? Since his token side quest is done?

How do you know that's his only quest?

Feeding on Seymour Fishburn actually makes everything better for everyone.

Every civilian have a story and a mission you can complete, once you done that you can feed on them without losing MUCH.... You still posible lose some conversations when stuff goes down in the city that affects everybody in the city. Example murder in the hospital, which adds another conversation option with everybody in the hospital that werent there before. But you can check all the civilians quest and hints in your menu.

Also its more safe to feed on the people without any relationships, you can also see that in the menu

To be honest, that's exactly what I did. Finished his side quest and cured him so I can get the full 1k exp from him and killed him. But I wanted to kill him from the start, so that might differ from your viewpoint. I didn't like that guy and even though he's the leader of a big gang there it didn't seem like he was gonna do much good in the world if left alive. It's really down to your interpretation of the characters, since everyone has a sin and a virtue. You being judge, jurry and executioner it's really up to you to decide. Don't look for "safe" bets to feed on 'cuz that might dampen your experience with the game.

Can you feed without killing and still get the benefit of some blood like in Bloodlines? If you can only kill outright then picking targets will be hard...

Feeding = kill.

That's what I figured but I haven't attempted to kill anyone yet so I wasn't sure.

The game has infinite XP via respawning enemies. Which, of course, in a typical "game hypocrisy for the sake of gameplay" fashion you can (and likely will) murder in at least hundreds without any reprecussions whatsoever.
The choice between "not killing NPCs but being weak" and "killing NPCs and being strong" is a largely false one. You can get however much XP you want, and it's not even particularly a grind.
