Fighting Skals is the worst
I have to wittle down their stamina to get a bite in but they can jump on me and bite m whenever they want. It's not a problem when there's 2 or 3 but in the other areas of the game where they start hanging out in groups of 5 and 6 it's just terrible.

They don't usually jump more than 1 at a time and I single dash avoid the jump (Or if you use a 2h weapon you can parry the jump and they become stunned so you can bite them or hit hard) and by the way, I think there are never groups of more than 3 skals anywhere in the game, maybe you took the atention of more than 1 group.

I always have to move around more when there's more than 2 Skals around. If they changed the combat system to allow sidesteps it would be easier to counter. But at least when you're biting one you won't be harmed when the other attacks at the same. Then just quickly rush out of there to prepare again.

The largest single mob of Skals that comes to mind is 4, but yeah, I agree that they can be a challange if you approach the situation wrong. My advice would be to never let them surround you and try to avoid using the target lock system. Herd them together in a group and nuke them with AOE powers and quick blitz attacks instead.

Starting in chapter 3, you can lead one opposing faction against another that's close by. Let them kill each so you can take down what's left. I loved using that tactic in Skyrim. Leading giants against bandits made my day.

I think that happens in enclosed areas where they just pop up after another. Not sure if it's specific to the area or a levelling challenge.

That's what happened. I wandered into the cemetary and got 2 different groups of them chasing after me. It was quite the experience. You're right they jump at you one at a time but they'll sometimes do it one after the other, and at that point it made it a bit difficult for me to either dodge or parry.

Great advice. This is what I tried to do and was able to take out 1 group, but the other group got me. Let's just say I was way more careful walking through that area again lol

It's easy to feel like a bada** until you walk into the wrong part of town.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anybody else mention it, but the whole NPC faction in-fighting is severly bugged in this game and hardly reliable. A prywen guard will often stand 2 meters away from a skal pounding on a door without either of them noticing each other, and often one side simply refuses to fight back or completly ignore everything but you.

If it's true then it sounds a little strange since they tend to bug out one way or another over half the time for me. Funniest episode was watching a single lvl16 Skal take out a full group of 4 lvl24 Prywen Guards because all they did was walk around and shout at it xD
