Bug - Trinkets & More

hi,
can't progress in the side quest "Trinkets & More".
i found the box but it doesn't register and i can't progress now..

It didn't happen to me, but if what is said in the articule is true then I don't think there is much to do. Maybe wait for a fix.
P.D: I know it is not a solution but you don't miss much not doing that sidequest, so don't feel so bad maybe you can continue with the story and they fix it eventually.

I face a bug too, just that I can't reach the attic at all. All hostiles killed, the prompt ([F] in my case) never appears to reach the box :/

Did you open the box from your inventory screen and read the letter inside?

my mistake, i did not..and after i did that, i could progress and finish this investigation. thanks.

HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT I HAD TO ACTUALLY OPEN THE BOX AND READ THE NOTE? I THOUGHT IT WAS FILLED WITH STUPID ITEMS LIKE JEWELRY OR SOMETHING!

I had the exact same issue. Spent hours thinking the quest was busted, then read the letter and. Voila, was able to complete.
