Harriet Jones (SPOILERS)

I just finished killing Mary after she turned into a vampire and it made me confused as to how Harriet jones in the earlier chapter turned into a Skal. I thought Harriet Jone was bitten by a Skal and Sean Hampton brought her with him after she started seeking revenge. And then all of the vampire murders proceeding were from the same one that made Harriet a Skal. But it turns out to be Mary, my sister. How was a Skal created by an Ekon, or do I have the story mixed up?

I think you have it mixed.

It's deduced that Sean attacked and kidnapped Harriet since he was bitten and attacked by a Skal in the beginning of the game. Skals can create other skals through contact.

But it ended up being Mary stalking John the whole time and throwing hints and bodies at him until their final fight. But Ekons can create Skals if their blood isn't pure/strong enough.

So if Sean created Harriet, who was the voice telling/asking her to kill people and also telling her how much they hate Reid? I thought you hear the voices of your creator. Maybe I am over analyzing it but something doesnt add up unless I didnt get far enough yet.

It's natural that you are confused, because it's not yet revealed what actually happend in the hospital...

But if you like to know (but I'd really recommend not checking the spoiler!)

Harriet Jones was infected by a blood transfusion which was used by Dr. Swansea. A vampire gave this blood transfusion to him for research - but it was actually contaminated by a specific virus strain. Due to this contamination Harriet Jones actually transformed into a mutated version of a Skal - a much more troublesome version. She later infected her daughter, which became the source of infection for this mutation in the West End District.
