Regarding Dr. Reid's face.

So I've been playing for quite a while, through my playthrough so far I've only 'embraced' two people- I'm trying to spare most characters and I'm only going for the scum of London; could that somehow be related to Dr. Reid's face becoming more Skal-like?
At the moment he looks like a blood-starved Skyrim vampire... So I'm left wondering, do I have to 'embrace' more people in order to make his appearance get back to normal? Or is it related to the 2 previous incedents I mentioned... or are those not the cases at all.

The more you embrace citizens, the more Jonathan's face changes. It can't be back to normal.

Do combat bites count as embraces? Because I find it weird that it'd have such a severe impact on my visual appearance considering I only embraced 2 characters, while either Ekons who feast on mortals for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles look pristine. Thanks for the clarification.

combat bites dont effect your face

I have only embraced a single person and Reid's eyes are red with silver/white irises, the area around his eyes are sunken looking and red, and his skin is super pale and it looks like veins are poping out of his face. This seems really wrong.

The only thing I can think of is that combat biting DOES affect his facial appearance. Which sucks because I use combat biting all the time.

Yeah... I hope they teak this in the future- or at least make the visual change more progressive and subtle. I shouldn't look like a borderline Skal for embracing two people- and two that had it coming might I add haha.

exactly how I look after one embrace. Combat does not affect it.

This is just silly... I don't understand why our face change while Ashebury eat a lot of peoples and still looks completly normal and human. Even without eating anyone but only our sister we look sick and pale af while she is not. This gameplay mechanic is completly out of any RP and It's BAD. ( Or Ashebury got some plotarmor against this idk... is she suposed to be a romance or something? Since i play super nice guy i kinda want to kill her ( she kill innoncents and try to make us bilieve she is a good person) but for some reason the game impose my her friendship and this weird flirting stuff... great RP) Anyway no combat bites dosn't change your apparence... and yes it is again a RP fail.

didnt know this was a thing, havent embrace anyone yet, but from the sounds of it it feels weird that such a severe change would occur after just a few kills.

They better have a solid explaination for it later than... because otherwise it's just like i said: BAD.
Oh well, i was to be expected anyway. It's Dontnod ( Full Inconsistency. Where it's dosnt bother me in LIS, in a vampire RP settings, it do a lot as you can see) Anyway it was a impossible challenge to compete with the solidness of The world of darkness lore (as a huge fan of Bloodlines they shouldn't have mention it, they shooted a bullet in their on feet to me ahah ). But i hope they will still surprise me later, i'll see.

reed is not reg vampire according to that lady vampire that was blackmailed, he rare kind, it begins with E...think ercon(ms) so his appearance would be different from other vampires im guessing(im guessing i know which 2 you killed....i killed one so far and waiting for memorize 3 to go after the other)

you have been embraced by an elder that looks all weird himself, not by a regular vampire. I would not expect you to be normal.

Ashebury (the blackmaile lady) is a Ekon too, that's why it make no sens. I think they try to have some kind of similar mechanic to the "Humanity" one in the world of darkness but it dosn't work because this is not aplly to everyone (just the player) and is no ancred in the RP. So it's feel weird and bad. Also i'm not as far as you are so i don't know evrything but it dosn't look good, as i said i'll see where it goes, i hope to be surprise and have good RP explainations later.

edit:@Mirta: Yes i saw the blood elder guy once, i don't know yet if it's true form and/or if he got something special apart from being an elder. Maybe there will be a explainations. But i still i don't think the way they handle their lore is really good. And it would be annoying to learn that we are "Special". Well not maybe annoying but more like disapointing.

Why are you nitpicking stuff it not really that important its a facial change
