Vampyr
Dragonebane blood absorption
I read somewhere that the pre-order Dragonbane (I'm also confused, is there another late game weapon with the same name?) has a hidden effect that once upgraded will suck 10 points of blood per hit. :brotherblood:

I upgraded but I'm not noticing anything, has this been removed? :vampirebite:

There's another True Dragonbane weapon late game. You have to solve a puzzle to get it and it's been nerfed so it's meh. I don't know if it has a hidden effect since I prefer the saw.

The True Dragonbane sword is exactly the same as the pre-order bonus, only it has more base damage, in fact, highest damage per hit, among one-handed weapons...that you can get, without of eating anyone...

True Dragonbane does 306 damage per hit(which is almost as much as most of two-handed, at double speed), with all damage upgrades, and it's best kept for damage anyway, since surgical saw you find at Pembroke Hospital can also leech 10 blood per hit, and it does that at a higher attack speed than True Dragonbane.

Also, True Dragonbane was nerfed to Hell and below, both it's damage per hit and blood drain secret effect it used to have. It no longer secretly drains 10 blood every second strike.

So long story short, if you want blood drain-fully upgrade the saw-while it's damage isn't great, it's the fastest one-handed weapon in game(15 attack speed) and drains up to 10 blood per hit.

If you want a beast of a one-handed weapons-use True Dragonbane fully speced in damage.

I was asking specifically about the pre-order Dragonbane Sword.

Why would they nerf a weapon in a SINGLE player game...I've only ever seen nerfs on multiplayer game where balance is an issue between weapons or player class abilities.

The hidden blood absorption effect was in fact on the true dragon bane, however when they fixed some bugs with this weapon, they nerfed its damage and removed the hidden effect.

That still bites...I don't get why you would feel the need to nerf a weapon on a SINGLE player game....I mean the reason nerfs occur in multiplayer is for balance but that's not an issue in single player.
