Is this an open world game ?

Is this an open world game am I able to fully enjoy the vampire life, or am I stuck to some storyline crap.

Free roam to an extent, but open world in terms of what you are thinking. You may want to wait for Bloodlines to come out.

Still its funny what works as barrier sometimes... a low wood fence that ends at the tigh.. blocks the path to a balcony.. while at other places whole towers of barrels can be destroyed to walk through :> Also i wished they had placed much more of those fog teleport spots around the place.. even if it makes no real sense but perhaps to cover up those spots who do make a sense ^^

Oh its not, its fun really.. only a bit confusing in times.. you think you walk northwest... dont notice you took a little turn and.. then suddenly when you check the map again you walked south all the time *sigh* i wished the game had a minimap instead of that blunt compass.

I just want to be a vampire in this game and start biting random people.. Is this game very gory ?

Alot blood there is.. but not so much splatter if you mean that. The corpses drop intact mostly unless they are pre-positioned before you aproach. But most blood spots you wont notice untill you switch to the vampire sense mode (V). You technically can bite everybody but it makes the game more difficult in exchange for gained power.. I prefer to keep each district as healthy as possible and gain exp elsewhere.

Is this a very dark game in general ?

That it is. I mean it plays on the background of a epidemic, spanish flu or something. And because you only can roam at night, and the corpses from the flu its a very dark game. Ok there are probably darker games.. like some satanic clult based games or giger´s aliens stuff games. Its not that dark. I uhm never had to change my pants while playing so.. its darkness is limited :)
