G29 does work, except with Fernbus
Allright, I got the G29 working, cause the game screwes up standard. Played a few hours, logged off, and saw a patch today... Great, hopefully some ♥♥♥♥ has been fixed, nope, G29 appears to return wrong values. Reboot game or system. Did that, the game and my system, played ETS2 without error (and with Force Feedback ;-) ), so what's the deal?

Anyone knows a solution to this, or do we have to wait for another miracle patch?

PS sorry if this statements sounds a bit harsh, but really guys, make sure you're game adresses steering wheels correctly if the game has anything to do with vehicles

Yes I have followed that guide to the full extent

In my opinion that's kinda weird, cause I have no respons at all in Fernbus, and with all my other driving games I have no error at all

You have to configure every single Axis- and Button-Function in the Setup, that's a Fact. But imhO this is just the Thing, that makes it really flexible and fully configurable. Try to open the pulldown near your desired Function and delete every Function not assigned to the Keyboard. After that klick on "Add Axis" and choose your G29 Axis from the List. Then you can e.g. configure the Axis' "Dead Zone" or even invert it just by dragging the Sliders, it is graphically shown near the Steering Setup, how the Axis reacts to the Wheel Movement.

Yeah well I've done all of that already, played with it, and it was fine..
But after the so called 'hotfix' the settings menu return the string: "Some of your input devices [blah blah]" and the sliders (which visually show what the status of your pedals/steering is) are all in the middle.

Again as I stated before, if you decide to build a game around vehicles with a steering wheel, make sure the game actually recognises top notch hardware, and in particular all the new hardware. This is really frustrating

I totally agree, I had the same problem with my T500RS. After downloading it 3 times after critical crashes which verifying game cache made no difference. I gave it up as a bad joke and will wait until the game is actually player friendly and wheels work without needing to watch videos to learn something which should be very basic in a driving game.

Why on earth they would make it so complex setting up a wheel is beyond me when every other driving game I have played actually do support a steering wheel, unlike Fernbus. Surely the developers must have played driving games themselves. Just take a look at ETS2, takes about 2 minutes to set up a wheel and no need to watch videos explaining how to do it. Can't imagine driving a bus is any more complex than driving a truck.

Never seen that message before in any other driving game and I have the latest driver and my wheel works in every other driving game I play.

I got the Message about a 'malfunctioning' Gamecontroller also. I shut down the Game and startet it again and the Message was gone. Maybe it helps, when you move the wheel or press a Button or step on a Pedal meanwhile.

Never worked for me, that message is there all of the time no matter what I did. Even had me check for a new driver and check the calibration of my wheel and pedals. Made absolutely no difference.

In my opinion, this game is in public Beta at the moment and players are being asked for feedback because of that. I expect some things to need updating when a game is first released but for a driving game to have so many problems for so many people setting up wheels is ridiculous.

Yeah my Thrustmaster T80 wheel works fine in ETS2 and ATS but on here says wrong values. Keyboard controls are rubbish for driving games because its either full on or full off.

And I restarted my PC, restarted the game, unplugged and replugged the wheel USB cable, updated wheel drivers. Nothing works.
