comparison with recent bus simulators?

good year to be a driving sim gamer. ive bought every bus simulators since 2011. euro bus simulator, omsi 2, bus simulator 16 to name a few.
how does this game differenciate itself from other games?
longer routes? more customizing options? i just want to know what im going to get before buying it. thanks.

Longer routes yes, since you build your own routes througout Germany. Customizing? Nope, customize the route and that's about it. No bus customization (yet). I own every bus sim as well. I would say this is my favorite one after OMSI 2.

Personally I feel the game play is closer to ETS 2 rather than something like OMSI or bus sim 16. Much of your time, is spent on the motorways, just like ETS 2. Being a coach sim its mostly about long distance driving, and well that's where it differs massively. You'll pick people up at a bus station drive and drive quite a long way the next town pick people up at the bus station there and move on etc. The routes can be huge when you start driving across germany, and definitley rival the driving time of some of the longer ETS 2 routes.

ETS 2 is 1:20. So its like half the scale which makes the game feel huge.

Bus simulator 2016 was just a lag fest for me and totally unplayable as it lagged far to much

Omsi 2 was fine then a patch got released and it was a nightmare lag fest again with busses bouncing about in the air

Fernbus. My favourite. Long distance driving yeah the AI is a pain but there working on it and a patch will be released at latest next week

At present you can't customise the bus etc but from reading a official post from the devs and aerosoft that sounds like something that will get added as a patch and also getting worked on. The cities are well represented. I have arrived at a few places and new instantly where they were with certain landmarks etc

I have a decent spec PC hence why I can run this perfectly

Neither this or OMSI are all that well optimized, but honestly especially for a game running on unreal 4 this is worse. It really surprises me you can play this ok but have buses bouncing about all over the place on omsi 2. That usually happens on low spec pc's, and this doesn't seem to like anything that isn't a really high end pc. Driving around right now at night and in the rain my FPS is dropping in to the teens, OMSI always stays at a much higher frame rate for me. What are your pc specs? You might want to play with some of the settings on OMSI a bit more.
