Farming Sim isn't that much better, but they at least separate their Platinum edition or something for those who own the base game anyway and can simply buy the upgrade that way at basically no real additional cost as opposed to buying the game now.
The last 30 Days, the peak Player Count for ETS2 was ... 45,975.
Fernbus is a tiny Development Team, with very few people who actually play the Game, as the Bus Simulation Genre is pretty small in itself, even the peak Player Count for Omsi 2 last Month was only 1,619. They don't have the luxury of thousands of people who purchase their Content, to allow discounts to be effective to still continue Development for the Future.
Over time, IF Fernbus grows to be something better, then yes, maybe deals like this will be there for existing customers.
As for Free Bus DLC's, well again, the Development team is small, and their budget doesn't come from a Money Tree... Maybe in the future sure its a posibility, but I don't see that any time soon.
They did however release a Free Map extension "Usedom" a couple Months ago, so you can't really complain that you dont get anything for free.
If you think it is a small team with ONLY 515 players, you should really check EmergeNYC. It has 3 devs and the leader is who makes most of the things. (And it hasn't a single DLC nor premium versions)
"You can't really complain..." Obviously I can and I will when I think I should, actually, I already did it in the post you read before writing your answer.
Just let us make our own buses and post them in the workshop.
No, the majority of people say Omsi 2 is extremely Buggy, and bad optimization, yet they continue stating that it's very true to life with great physics and detail.
Yes there are a lot of Bus Simulators released, yet they are down the bottom of the "Simulation chain" when it comes to enthusiasts.
From what I just looked, it has no Vehicle Manufacturers, so they don't need any funding to liscense them. Still though, last Month they peaked 191 Players.
The MAN, and the Neoplan Skyliner are both liscensed Vehicles, and I do recall reading on TML's official Forum that the Comfort Class is still in the process of liscensing the Setra Logo...
Well, kids will, and they do, as you have already shown, complain about having to spend money. Maybe one day when you grow up, and you need to feed a Family, then you would know why money is important.
Until then, I guess we have another 15 years of you complaining...
As I mentioned in another topic, I don't think Fernbus is up to the state for offering any deals including the DLC, main reason for that, is because it is a small Team, with limited Budget, then they kind of need as much money as they can get.
One reason for this decision could be that they are getting pretty desperate and want to try and reel in new Customers.
I understand the frustration though that they don't allow any discounts for such things like SCS do, but saying that, SCS didn't start offering deals on all their DLC from the get-go. Maybe over time TML will do the same thing once there is more Content.
This I agree with. allowing a realsed SDK with open the Door to a wider audience purely for the fact that the Simulation Community thrives from player made Content which is generally an endless possibility.
Not only would it increase the Content in the Game, but it will be a major selling point for future Customers.
I do recall an interview with TML that the Map Editor will be released to the Public, but they didn't said anything about the Busses.
You do know train simulator is made by a British company not a German one.
