You shouldn't do this. Let him simply play the map again from scratch and he should make his own backups. That's what I did when I did a Windows re-install. I forgot that I had to start the map all over again. It's no big deal.

i don't actually believe that he bought the retail version, i have a feeling he has cracked the game, but i don't know

I think u don't understand me clearly. I cantacted the support 3 days ago and no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about it, and I desparetly wrote the problem here but all the answer I got is yours.
