Another mouse lag problem
Simply put - I have horrible mouse lag. if i swipe left-right the mouse pointer is approaching left by the time I am back to right if you see what I mean. Unplayable
From reading up on this I saw that lots of people suggest turning off V Sync, but as they don't say how or where, and I can't see that option, I can't do that.
Turned off sync every frame, that did nothing.
messed with resolutions, - zilch
Saw another post recommending downloading a thing that fiddled with the directory to stop mouse acceleration (which i have off) - nothing.

Any ideas ?

Win 7 (yeah I know it isn't supported anymore), AMD Radeon 6450 HD, 12 gig ram, H55mud3h Mobo and Intel I3 cpu 530 quad @2.93 ghz

And I'm not upgrading it for this old game

I don't think it's a problem with your PC-hardware, so don't worry! :)
But it could be a problem with your mouse, maybe check if this is also a problem in other games, sounds like a damaged sensor or something.

Next: V-Sync is the same as Sync every frame, so you tried it out.
Should give you a bit fps boost, but also tearing.

I recommend messing around with your config file, a full guide is here:

I guess you already saw that, but you don't need to download anything, just try to tweak some settings in this file, it's already in your game folder.
Maybe try to get more fps, so follow the fps/graphics section.

I saw, that your CPU has a build in graphics unit.
It could be possible that the game uses your CPUs integrated graphics to calculate the frames instead of the Radeon 6450 HD.
You can check if this is the case in your AMD settings app.
Just open the app and watch for Games and click on black ops to change any settings.
I don't have an AMD GPU, so I can't tell you exactly where to find a setting like this, but I hope you find it anyway.

Hope this helps! :)

sync every frame and Vsync are the same options, just synonymous of each other. if you have that option turned off and also a stable fps during gameplay without fps drops at times; then you can check if enhance pointer precision is off on mouse settings at control panel. it's on by default when installing windows operating system, but most fps players turn it off just to have a firm muscle memory for fps games and consistent aiming without acceleration.

also certain mouse software like razer synapse are reported to cause unwanted acceleration or jittery movements in some call of duty games. if you have actively running mouse software on PC like that, you can try playing without it for a bit to see if it helps. in addition to that, you can set your polling rate to 125 Hz, if you use something higher like 500 or 1000 Hz. most gamer mice have polling rate (report rate as synonym) setting which is, in some cases, reported to cause mouse movement problems in a few cod games like black ops 1,2, advanced warfare etc.

you can try setting a higher fps cap through your .cfg file, to experience if a higher fps cap has a better feel for you. default framerate cap is 91 (it's seen as 85 on .cfg file for some reason). there's a command in .cfg file as "com_maxfps 85". you can change 85 to 150 to see if it helps. but for the sake of trying, do it only for single player/co-op's .cfg file, as I don't have any idea if changing that value is allowed for multiplayer and whether it may cause a kick/ban. config files are located typically in steam/steamapps/common/call of duty black ops/players. config.cfg is for single player/co-op, config_mp.cfg is for multiplayer.

Don't worry about changing your multiplayer config file too, I know that the majority of people nowadays uses changed config files!

I read a tip from someone who said to running steam as admin always. After that i got rid of the jitter stuttering in 1000MHz polling rate. And i'm using Razer DeathAdder V2.
