maximum height?

what's the highest point any of you got? my current best is 27k. i could go further but its starting to get boring. proof: https://i.imgur.com/sFhpUKU.jpg

in case you're wondering how i did that: fly as high as you can (when you get the warning), then turn into a ball and keep pressing forward. thats it, the ball will plummet towards the planet for a while, then it will shoot outwards further than you could fly. eventually it will start plummeting again and repeat the cycle. each time you get further and further out until you can't even see anything on the planet anymore. im taking a break for now but im gonna see if i can get to 100k later.

Well with infinite battery you could just keep flying upwards indefinitely

actually you cant. somewhere between 6000 and 7000m it warns you that you're out of reach and about to self destruct (it counts down from 5). you have to turn into a ball to prevent that from happening, its the only way to get further out.

That's how orbit works, you have gone into orbit :D If you like that you should check out Kerbal Space Program.
