Musicianship isn’t all about precision. It’s also about feeling. Flow. Style! Beat Weaver doesn’t require you to aim for perfect accuracy or stops dead in its tracks if you fail to hit enough notes.

The game rewards you for staying in a flow of playing and switching tracks, but you’re always in control of where the journey goes. Love that drum fill that leads into the first verse? Leap over there and play it. Can’t miss out on that guitar solo? Rearrange the highway so you’re sure to hit it. When things get too hectic simply stay where the note patterns are easier to nail.

And between those moments? Explore the instrumentation, discover little details and change things up. Every play-through of a song can be as different as you like.

The more you learn the unique elements of each song, the better you become at improvising your route through them while keeping your energy charged and the full mix of all instruments playing.

That being said, all the hallmarks of rhythm games are here if you want to focus on them: Full-combos, astronomical scores and complex note patterns that feel satisfying to pull off.

The last few decades have brought about so many incredibly skilled bedroom producers, bands and collaborations. There’s no better way to get deeply connected to someone’s music than interacting directly with it and becoming a part of its performance.

Export the individual tracks as they should appear in the game, chart the corresponding notes for each of them (it's all done in Midi!) and package it all up to share with friends, fans and a completely new audience.

• Songs can have between 6 and 16 tracks.
  
• The 3D note highway can twist and bend into a tunnel (you’re on the inside) or cylinder (you’re on the outside). You can even wrap around from one far end to the other once it's fully closed!
  
• Groups of tracks can break out to rejoin in a different order (yup, that’s why the game is called Beat Weaver).
  
• A whole bunch of live effects that you can trigger in exchange for some energy. Manipulate tracks, notes and time to make life easier, perform crazy maneuvers or manufacture the perfect route for your goals.

As a life-long musician and dedicated software developer, Beat Weaver is the combination of my two greatest passions. After falling in love with Frequency and Amplitude by Harmonix, these games kept living rent-free in my head.
Eventually I spent weekends prototyping a spiritual successor which I was able to turn into a full-time project. It has also been a way for me to channel my music making into different styles and genres that I never got to explore in any of my previous bands.

The game is built without an engine like Unity or Unreal. All inputs, game logic and music events are processed at lightning speed, regardless of framerate.
