Test out the Experimental wall versions for Barraza’s Side Axe, Neutral Blasters, Side Blasters, and Down Blasters Signatures. Available in the Experimental queue.

This patch brings Qinghua & Baobao’s first balance pass, making them legal for use in official tournaments. This patch also contains minor adjustments to bring some of the strongest weapons in the game closer in line with the rest of the pack as we enter the balance lock for the Brawlhalla World Championship. We have also included a few improvements to Signatures for underperforming Legends while reining in the speed and power of Signatures for a few of the highest performing Legends.

We have reduced the Damage of the Katars Side Light and Down Light, and significantly reduced the maximum possible damage of the Katars Down Air, to bring the total rate of Damage to a more reasonable level, especially in strings that use multiple Down Airs and Down Lights. Some of this lost Damage has been shifted into the Neutral Light to better match its general use at or near the end of combos and strings.

• Katars Neutral Light: Increased total Damage from 12 to 14.

• Katars Side Light: Decreased maximum total Damage from 8 to 7.

• Katars Down Light: Decreased Damage from 11 to 8.

• Katars Down Air: Decreased maximum total Damage from 14 to 9.

The Blasters Side Light now has slightly greater Recover time on miss to allow for easier punishment against this ranged attack. The Blasters Down Light now does slightly less Damage to bring this weapon’s overall rate of Damage to a more reasonable level.

• Blasters Side Light: Increased total Recover time on miss from 10 Fixed/9 Variable to 12 Fixed/9 Variable.

• Blasters Down Light: Decreased total Damage from 13 to 11.

The Chakram Fused Side Air, Split Side Air, and Fused Recovery all allow for less acceleration and maximum speed in the backwards direction on miss to allow for easier pursuit and punishment against reckless use of these attacks.

• Chakram Fused Side Air: Decreased the amount of acceleration and maximum speed allowed in the backward direction on miss.

• Chakram Split Side Air: Decreased the amount of acceleration and maximum speed allowed in the backward direction on miss.

• Chakram Fused Recovery: Decreased the amount of acceleration and maximum speed allowed in the backward direction during the later Hit Window, and during the Recover time on miss.

We have increased the Damage of the Hammer Side Light and Down Light to bring this weapon’s rate of Damage up to a more appropriate level for its generally high Time to Hit and overall risk.

• Hammer Side Light: Increased Damage from 16 to 17.

• Hammer Down Light: Increased Damage from 7 to 10.

Ada’s Side Spear now has greater Minimum Charge time and Recover time to allow for easier dodges and punishes against this attack. We have also slightly reduced the Damage and Force to bring its power closer in line with similar options on other Legends. Ada’s Down Spear now has greater Minimum Charge time to allow for easier reaction against this attack, and less Damage to bring its reward in line with its overall utility.

• Ada Side Spear: Increased Minimum Charge time from 2 to 5; Increased total Recover time from 23 to 27; Decreased Damage from 25 to 23; Decreased Force from 65 Fixed/53 Variable to 65 Fixed/51 Variable.

• Ada Down Spear: Increased Minimum Charge time from 5 to 9; Decreased Damage from 25 to 21.

Caspian’s Side Gauntlets now has less Force to better match the reward with its utility as a side-swapping attack.

• Caspian Side Gauntlets: Decreased Force from 70 Fixed/54 Variable to 65 Fixed/52 Variable.

We have decreased the Minimum Charge time of Gnash’s Neutral Hammer to bring its overall Time to Hit closer in line with the modern pace of gameplay and other similar Signatures.

• Gnash Neutral Hammer: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 11 to 8.

Mako’s Side Greatsword has an improved setup location and greater threat coverage on hit to allow for more reliable use in most situations. We have also increased the Damage to bring its reward closer in line with its lengthy total duration. Mako’s Down Greatsword now has an improved setup timing and greater Stun to allow for more reliable use in most situations and more leniency in timing a charged combo. We have also increased the Damage to better match this Signature’s overall risk.

• Mako Side Greatsword: Improved setup logic during the initial travel; Increased threat coverage near the user during the final slash on hit; Increased maximum total Damage from 24 to 27.

• Mako Down Greatsword: Increased Stun of the first hit from 20 to 27; Delayed setup location timing to allow for slightly more lenient charge time release; Increased Damage from 22 to 25.

Qinghua & Baobao’s Neutral Orb now has less Force to better match its utility and positional reward. The initial Hit Window of their Down Orb now sends horizontally instead of spiking downwards. Their Down Cannon now has less Force to better match its range and overall utility.

• Qinghua & Baobao Neutral Orb: Decreased Force from 70 Fixed/54 Variable to 62 Fixed/52 Variable.

• Qinghua & Baobao Down Orb: The angle of Force during the initial Hit Window now sends horizontally.

• Qinghua & Baobao Down Cannon: Decreased Force of the air version from 58 Fixed/48 Variable to 52 Fixed/46 Variable.

• Qinghua & Baobao Side Cannon: Fixed a case where the target could be dropped before the final hit.

Sentinel’s Neutral Katars now has less Recover time and allows for more momentum before the attack to bring this Signature closer in line with the pace of modern gameplay. Sentinel’s Neutral Hammer now has less Minimum Charge time and allows for more momentum to bring this Signature closer in line with the pace of modern gameplay.

• Sentinel Neutral Katars: Decreased total Recover time from 20 to 16; Increased the amount of allowed momentum during the Time to Hit.

• Sentinel Neutral Hammer: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 12 to 10; Increased the amount of allowed momentum during the Time to Hit.

While we’ve reduced the maximum Charge time of Teros’ Side Axe to fix an animation bug, this change does have a minor effect on how quickly bonus Damage and Force is gained during a Charge, resulting in an almost negligible increase at Minimum Charge.

• Teros Side Axe: Decreased maximum Charge time from 84 to 75.

Zariel’s Neutral Bow now has less Force and Damage to bring its reward more in line with its risk and utility. We have also increased its Minimum Charge time to allow for easier reaction against and maneuvering around this attack. Similarly, Zariel’s Down Gauntlets now has greater Minimum Charge time to allow for easier reaction against and maneuvering around this attack. We have also decreased the Force to better match its overall utility.

• Zariel Neutral Bow: Decreased Force from 50 Fixed/47 Variable to 48 Fixed/44 Variable; Decreased total Damage from 23 to 21; Increased Minimum Charge time from 9 to 12.

• Zariel Down Gauntlets: Increased Minimum Charge time from 11 to 14.; Decreased Force from 58 Fixed/54 Variable to 55 Fixed/51 Variable.

To make Brawlhalla’s massive roster more approachable, we’re lowering a large amount of Legend Gold prices in Mallhalla. Also, there will now be a much wider variety of Weapons and Legends available for 900 Gold!
