Bugs and glitches
I thought I'd alert the devs to some issues I found while playing. Nothing major, just some small glitches and such.

In The Tomb, triggering the skull cracking device without the skull in will cause the two plates to snap together and clip into eachother before firing the animation. They stay that way afterwards as well. I'm guessing they do that since the skull halves are attached to them when the actual animation plays, but as it is now they just stick and it looks weird.

In The Lab, the beam mirrors don't retain their positions if moved before there's a beam on them. It's more a niggle than anything, but I calibrated the mirrors back to front and had to redo them.

Also in The Lab, the knife switch on the battery charger is a bit jumpy and getting it all the way down using the mouse is tricky. It still works, but the animation isn't all too smooth.

Finally, a thing that I got stuck on is that the jar with the plaque in doesn't stand out at all. It's the only place where I had to turn on hints. Maybe make the grooves on the lid more pronounced, or add a fingerprint that's visible with the eyepiece?

I really enjoyed my experience, by the way. Thank you for a great remake.

I too found the same thing with the skull plate. It causes the skull halfs to clip into each other as well once cracked. There also seems to be a graphical error in the Ship. When you look over at the round table before you do anything there is a sort of glowing spot that stands out. The game is amazing and I can't wait for number three. Thanks

There were fingerprints that were visible with the eyepiece on that jar. Unless they added it in after this post but before I played it.

Also, in the Lab, using the symbol number dial, if your camera is postitioned near the bottom right you cannot turn the dial properly.

I'd like to add that when I was at the card room, the roller desk was not open and I could not open it. However, I found the key and was able to get to the puzzle inside the desk somehow. When I zoomed back out, it was still closed.

Intentional?

Edit: After reading online, I found out that I had to do something with the camera to get the desk to open. It was still strange to get inside the desk without opening it or having a hint direct me to it.

I ran into a bug in the ship, with the rotating puzle on the bottom of the modle ship the sliders keep rotating over and voer without falling into place corectly

Just to chime in on the ship room. When you are working with the weights, there's a drawer you have to open by rotating corners.

I was unable to get it to open, despite the corners looking to be in the right position. I quit and restarted and was able to progress.

I want to add to HawkEye4077's first bug report. Hopefully the developers even read this thread, because the drawer glitch is actually GAME-BREAKING!
Location: the room with the tarot card table, appearance: the first few moves in this room.
I did open the lock before the drawer opened, but since I guessed it must be the wrong order, I did not solve the puzzle that appears there. I went to solve some some camera puzzles and found out that this "magically" opens the drawer. But now when trying to get back to the puzzle at the inner left of the drawer, the player camera is positioned as if I still had to unlock this with the key which I do not have anymore. And it will not switch to top view.

Please fix that, I have to start over again now....

Small bug, in the lighthouse/laboratory when the two symbols are scratched into the glass in the film box i'm assuming it's a pre-recorded video, because it doesn't take into account the users volume setting (which i lowered) and is very loud, then when returning to gameplay the volume is stuck on full. Revisiting the options menu to reselect your volume setting fixes it.

There's a couple extremely obscure things i had to use hints for so far but that's just game design philosophy isn't it :P.

@Inochi-PM - Having same problem - S will not lock into place so I cannot progress. Game breaking.

@Foxfire - try lowering resolution. That worked for me. Physics seem buggy if you have resolution beyond what your vid card can handle.

My computer crashed in the middle of me playing. Now when I go into the game it says 'Select Profile' and the profile I originally selected now says "Unavailable".Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had this sound bug on my playthrough. Same happened after game completion when you move back to the main menu from the end message.

Just wanted to report a glitch. The Boat Level, the zoom in on the pillar behind the chest did not let me zoom out. I tried everything. Had to reboot the level from main screen.
