We have gotten quite much feedback about the time stopping mechanic, but most have actually began to like the feature after getting used to it. I too remember it feeling very awkward at first, but it does let you do some very cool stunts. I also just like to look around sometimes.
However if you think it's not for you, at least with keyboard it's possible to bind a key to Time Toggle from the game's settings. So, you can use this feature to make the time flow normally.
I'm also sorry that you don't like the game, but we have really gotten good feedback as well so most likely there won't be major changes. And the game does offer some challenge if you try the non-lethal way.
And as a moderator of these forums, please avoid writing that you want to punch people. I'll take it in good spirits now though.
Let me know if you have any questions, and have a nice weekend! Cheers!
Feedback from whom? Lowest common denominator type of modern players who will eat any anything developers and publisher will fed them? Sorry, but cant you guys use your own logic to understand why this mecahnics really ruins your game, also can your read reviews where about 20% (and thats only those brave who tried, other people was alienated by mechanics without bying so real percentage of people who consider this as bad decign decision is quite more than 20%) of people are happy with this game mostly because of gemeflow brreaking and dumb and glitch AI and in general very easy stealthing, which is only hardened by clunkiness of sudden pauses?
Im playing games for almost 1\3 of century, and witnessed evolution and degradation of game industry, unfortunately nowadays we are living in the era of dumbest ever players, who cant even beat the Super Mario Bros, and dont know how we used to rocket jump our ways in old good Quake days.
So called Call of Duty generation or modern warfare generation are least intelligent representative of gaming community and making games based on feedback of such players is not the good way for dev to go.
Im personally making stealth game (you can read about it on my profile) and trying to push the boundry and evolving to a next gen level legacy mechanics of games like Spinter Cell Chaos Theory, MGS 2, Thief 2-3, Hitman Blood Money, Riddick and few more of classic gems, and i dont listen modern warfare baby cries and doing this game for old schoold and hardcore stealth players who missing the days of Chaos Theory, however i do allow modern dumbware kids to disable things that are too hard for them, by giving the option, that may please even them.
And its such a pain for me to see modern dumbed down stealth games like this one, where developers use feedback of modern players and totaly ignoring old school players, as class. like we dont exist, even despite at least 20% of negative reviews (i expect there will be more soon), and hell more of those who decided to skip this game shows that while we are not majority we are way too many to ignore us.
Why cant you just improve AI the way i suggested, fully remove all kind of visual aid (which despite claims of hard mode still present and breaks immersion), and add simple toggle option "use manually slow mo instead of auto-enabled pause" or do a flip togget "use RB as manual pause, instead of autopause and manual advantage of time". to please another cathegory of players? Why dont you listen to our feedback and why cant you personally see how this mechanics ruin your game and wastes its potential and annoys a lot of players?
P.S. - as for punch in a face, it just a figure of speech, dont take it literally. it just stands there to show how much frustrating it is to play with "little brother" who trolls you by pressing pause when you are in middle of gameplay, and who cant stop doing that XD
And you're welcome to make your VERY OWN stealth game, seeing as how much passion you've poured into your ranting.
I love the game, and I've been playing video games for longer than you have, if that actually means anything as you've implied.
Cheers!
Ah, you did all this just to advertise your own project :D .
Only 20 % negative reviews is a great success for any game. Are you suggesting that the 80 % are idiots who should be just ignored?
By the way, I expect there to be very little new reviews, positive and negative. Doesn't seem like huge success in first sale, and certainly wasn't when published. Which is a pity, since I really liked it with all its flaws.
You were already told that you can bind toggle time key instead of having the auto pause. Were you too busy ranting to notice? As for AI, it would be easy to widen guards' field of view or increase the range of their hearing, but that could easily result in a game that's very unfair or even practically unbeatable. You may not care about such things (though frankly, I don't think you have any idea what you are asking), but many people would.
So first you say that FB shouldn't listen to feedback from some Modern Call of Halo n00bs and then you complain that they don't listen for your feedback? Has it even crossed your mind that maybe, just maybe, you aren't the unerring authority on what makes a good game? That your opinion isn't that much better than 80 % of people bothering to review the game?

No, I am not CoD generation, never played CoD and born decades before it.
Anyways, not going to join the rant.
BUT I have to say that the OP makes a VERY valid point and it has my total support-
the game needs another difficulty level with guards being more perceptive.
Just played through the game completly non-lethal (took me 10h) and in the end it was just too easy and the behaviour of the guards was too easy to abuse.
