About the ue4-atlas fatal error

For those affected by this random crash:

I suffered this crash shortly after starting a new game, like 5 minutes in. I read a few pages about how my processor might not be compatible with some instruction.

In my case, it got fixed after unequipping the DLC mask and using the regular yellow raincoat hoodie. So give it a try if it happens to you.

I never used any of the DLC masks and had the fatal error twice during Chapter 5.

Have you tried installing/updating Unreal engine? You have to load Epic Games Launcher and you can download the latest unreal from there. That seems to have fixed my issue.
