Who's Hungry?
After checking out the trailers and promotional material for Little Nightmares, I was reminded of this animated short film by David Ochs called "Who's Hungry?", so much so that I wonder if the team behind the game took any inspiration from it at all.
Maybe developer Shoupinou knows?

If you want to see the film, it's available on YouTube here. (Be warned, it's fairly grotesque and features scenes of animated violence!)

That was...horrible...and disturbing...and I definitely see your point. There's some weird stuff out there, some of which is kinda cool.

I didn't know about this short movie (just watched it - that's sweet and disgusting in the same time!) but there is definitively similarities with Little Nightmares.
Let me have a discussion with Head artists from Tarsier Studio and I'll tell you.
Thanks for initiating this excellent discussion

[Added] Confirmed: this short movie was absolutely no known by Tarsier Studios and consequently is not an inspiration for Littel Nightmares. Although some themes are similar (size of the characters, innocence, Creepy characters...Little Nightmares remains a game with a totally original universe.

"Trust me bro" level of confirmation XD Ok then. It's pretty obvious it was heavily inspired by this shortfilm. There are so many common elements, it's absurd to deny the link between them... And that comes from a massive Little Nightmares fan, I adore those games. I
