The game pauses when clicking outside the fullscreen game window

I am playing in fullscreen mode on a multi-display system. If the (invisible) mouse cursor moves outside the game window (on the other screen) and I click either mouse button, the game pauses. I guess the pausing occurs due to the game window losing focus.

This is not a big issue but somewhat annoying as it happens once in a while. Would it be possible to restrict the mouse cursor within the game window?
