How To Access New DLC in Little Nightmares (GUIDE)

Because of the amount of bad behavior going on with users bashing the developers on Twitter about not being able to play DLC, without checking EVERYTHING before assuming things.

Here's how easy it is.

Step 1: Start in the Main Menu.
Step 2: Go to Chapter Selection.
Step 3: Choose the chapter below Six's First Chapter.
Step 4: Get Excited.
Step 5: Play.

TRIVIA: How do you move to different chapters using a controller?

ANSWER: Analog Sticks.

Change those Analog Sticks to Keyboard & Your movement would be WASD.


Here is the order you should be playing by, which is obviously already designed as it is in the game.. but i'll list it for you anyways.

First Chapter: The Depths
Second Chapter: The Hideaway
Third Chapter: The Residence

You cannot play other chapters until you play through the chapters at least once.

To those of you who are having issues with not being able to unlock a DLC chapter.
DLCs tend to take a while for it to be registered on your account.

Just be patient & remind yourself that this isn't something that is on their end.
This is all on steam & has nothing to do with the game developers.

Every video game with DLC will have this issue from time to time, the content has to be downloaded & installed into the game completely for it to work, it also has to be completely registered onto your steam account.

okay, here's a super detailed guide.
Step 0: Get a pc
Step 1: get a mouse
Step 2: plug it in
Step 3: install steam
Step 4: purchase little nightmares and the dlc
Step 5: go into your library
Step 6: double tap Little Nightmares
Step 7: Press chapter selection
Step 8: press S on your keyboard.

Please take your time in figuring out yourself as this is a simple task.

lmao i had trouble selecting the dlc im afraid to admit, you switch the chapters with the wasd keys on the keyboard

Do you need a complete save file for it to show?
Because, despite the arrogant replies in this thread, I do not see it. Pressing down when on the first chapter does nothing, and nothing shows up.
I beat the game, then started a new game overwriting my first playthrough's save file, because why not?

when I was starting dlc I just go to new chapter - I mean dlc then holt right trigger - it ll zoom you in and start. It ll ask you if you l lstart it ll override your save so clikc yes and you are good to go.. hope it helps :) but dont forget to zoom it works for me :)

Thanks for the tip, but making sure to zoom in didn't fix anything.

It should maybe be noted I'm playing the GoG version, I installed the DLC by a simple .exe which installs to the game's directory. Figured I'd post here since this forum seems to be more active than the one there and the two versions probably work the same anyway. But maybe not.

Anyway, I finished my current save file and it's still now showing up in chapter select. Two other pieces of DLC, two masks, are showing up.

well im confused and dunno how to helpo you anymore .. that sucks... maybe try write devs .. I just bought season pass went to chapter select , went down with analog and dlc was showed thats all :/

Can`t choose dlc chapter. I bought it today and I`m so dissapointed :(
The problem with the layout, to be more precise, I can`t select a menu item or DLS chapter because the selection areas have moved down...Does anyone else have those bag?

Menu ui problem is the selection areas have moved down. I can navigate only with the point and enter btns..But it`s not big deal since i can run new chapter =З
