Paid DLC is absurd!
In Brazil the game cost 80 reais, much more than the 20 dollars americans pay. Still I bought you game.
Now you want 40 reais for a DLC? Which, I'm guessing, is much more than what the americans pay as well. Did Brazil become a rich country or do you like exploiting us?
This is a joke. I honestly regret supporting you even though I loved the game. You do not deserve my money and I won't be buying content for your game anymore. You do not respect your buyers.

EDIT: Because there is only so many times I can repet myself.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT TAXES OR EXCHANGE RATE. WE DO NOT HAVE TAXES FOR ONLINE SERVICES [WHICH STEAM IS CONSIDERED HERE]. NONE WHATSOEVER!
AND YES, THE PUBLISHING COMPANY CHOOSES THE PRICES ON STEAM. VALVE SUGGESTS HOW MUCH THEY SHOULD CHARGE BASED ON ECONOMY AND THEY STILL DO WHAT THE WANT.
THEY ARE DELIBERATELY OVERCHARGING US.
AND IF YOU SEARCH ON THIS COMMUNITY, YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT AT LEAST CHINA AND THAILAND ARE BEING OVERCHARGED TOO.

You do realise that transaction taxes are a thing, right?
Rachel Jun 9, 2017 @ 12:31pm
The game itself is short and expensive. You expect me to be okey with paying for more content? We do not have transaction taxes, Vat or anything like that. It's just greed!
There's no reason at all as why we should pay more. That just can't be justified.

You don't understand how the economy works, which is why you're getting angry over the prices.
The game is cheaper in some countries, more expensive in others, this is because of global exchange rate. I'm lucky enough that I can buy the game for just a little cheaper than it's base retail price, which is $19.99 USD. Converted into Norwegian currency, that's 199-200 NOK, but if I was to convert that 200 NOK into USD, I'd probably get 20-25 dollars. It's not greed, it's an exchange that guarantees that Tarsier Studios makes their money.

Then don't buy it? Lol, game developers set the price they feel their game / DLC is worth, based on the work they put into it, the resources, and how much they need to recoup that and gain a little profit

If you don't agree with the price they set, there are always sales to wait for. That's what a sale is for

posting angrily on the forums and saying you wont' buy it at that price is'nt going to do anything. I doubt the developers are going to suddenly change their minds and drop the price tag based on one raging forum thread =P
Rachel Jun 9, 2017 @ 4:55pm
You people are all so stupid! OMG. :steamfacepalm:
Is it fair then to pay more than any other country?
Great that the devs think their game is worth 20 bucks. I'm no saying it's not. Awesome, I want to pay 20 dollars too instead of the 27 dollars I paid when I bought it. How much is the DLC for you? 7/8 dollars? Why is it 13 dollars here? Why should it cost more in my country? Both the game and the DLC.
If any of you had read my post, you would know what this is about. If it was a fair price [at least the same price for everyone] I wouldn't be here.
I bought the game despite the fact that is cost more to me [my country] than anybody else.
It's just not fair that they now do the same with a DLC.
And no mather how many games, market transactions or whatever the f*ck I have, I do not like to be exploited. Imagine if it was you, paying over the asking price in any other country for every single game. Would you be glad? Are you so rich that you can pay more than anyone for the same product? I wouldn't have all the games I have if I were gladly paying more than everybody else. But, since you are rich and have a 'few bucks' just laying around, you are more than welcome to pay the difference on my behalf. It's nothing to you, right? And in you mind it's okey to be overcharged.
And you are so quick to judge... Do you know how many of those games I bought? How many I won? How many cards I had to sell to buy the games I want?
The gif is a joke. Take a hint. Jesus...
I do judge you for being so closed minded and thinking everybody should blindly follow you and have the same opinion.
I do not expect them to change anything. My purpose is to let them know that not everybody is content with what they are doing. I do not agree that I need to pay more than everybody else.
And you must have nothing else to do than to go on community forums to antagonize people. You have nothing useful to say and yet you come here just for the pleasure of being unpleasant.

Cyanide explained it to you:

Currency Exchange Rate

What currency are you paying in? How much does that equivalent when it's changed to USD, which the game is originally priced in?

Read their reply rather than just skip over it to call us stupid

It just doesn't matter.
80 reais = 24.27 dollars [today]. 24.27 dollars = 79.98 reais.
20 dollars = 65,93 reais [again, today]. 65,93 reais = 19,99 dollars.
We are not paying for exchange rate, as you can see. We do not have tax for products purchased online. All taxes are extra to that 80 reais and are charged to our credit card when they apply.
We are simply being overcharged.
Cyanide lives in a different country and doesn't even know what he is talking about.
Different country, different laws, different taxes...
And I wouldn't be here saying we are being overcharged if I didn't understand Currency Exchange Rate! ^^

I hear you, but it is not Bandai's fault. :starecat: It has something to do with your country's economic trade policy (protectionism) that sets taxes high and limits importation of foreign goods in order to protect local goods. Since the game is imported, the price becomes more expensive when compared to US which is not as restrictive as Brazil and is more free to trade. This means more options for American consumers or more competition for businesses, so products are generally not as expensive as it is in Brazil.
Rachel Jun 10, 2017 @ 8:33am
It has nothing to do with my country or trade policy or anything.
Most 20 dollars games are sold for 36 reais here, not 80 reais.
This is an online product and Brazil doesn't have taxes for online products. Importation taxes only apply for physical products. In that case, yes the taxes are way too high.
Like I said, they put the price they wanted. Not because they had to, not because of taxes.
They are simply overcharging us.
And I'm rich now? You know me how again?
I don't have money to burn or to overpay. I basically buy games selling cards. I trade and I win raffles. Also, you have no idea how many great games you can get buying 1 or 2 bundles a month.
And not all games are more expensive in Brazil. Most of them are cheaper and have a fair price. Some companies just think that it's okey to exploit some countries. They do the same thing with Russia and other countries. Funny that this game is more expensive in poor countries. lol
And Cyanide, you are the stupid one. Have you seen the exchange rate for you currency or any other? The difference between buying and selling a currancy is cents not 7 dollars. Jesus, grow up. And stop talking about sh*t you don't understand.

Take Agents of Mayhem for example. It's 46.39% cheaper here than it's base price. Or GTA V that is 49.43% cheaper.

Right? Imagine if we had to overpay for every single game.
If it was just the base game I would say it's worth. The game is great. But with an overpriced DLC as well, we are paying much more than we should. Honestly, had I known they would add paid DLC, I wouldn't have bought it. It's ridiculous that we have to pay at least 10 dollars more for both.

E-commerce in Brazil is not free from taxations either. If I'm not mistaken, products are taxed twice (origin/destination) something of that nature so it ends up doubling the price. You of all people should know that everything in your country is insanely expensive. More likely than not, it's either taxation issues (Brazil have different kinds) or Bandai just prefer to price the game on steam matching the store shelf prices like if you would have purchase one from a brick-and-mortar store in your country. Is there a difference in price if you buy a physical copy over there? I highly doubt it. I don't think companies want their products to have lower prices just because it's sold online. It has something to do with your country. Also, don't forget to take into consideration that LN is a newly released game so I would not expect huge discount anytime soon.
Rachel Jun 10, 2017 @ 10:26am
Since it seems you people do not want to undestand, I will stop replying to you.
Steam games are way cheaper than the physical price. What is it that you don't understand? GTA V on Steam is half the base price for us and yet on console it's more expensive because it's a physical copy. GTA on console here was 250 reais on release. On Steam it's always been 99 reais. Does that seem the same price to you?
What part of that concept can't you grasp??? Or is it that you want to play dumb?
I wouldn't have a steam account if I were to pay the same price as a physical copy.
Normally, 20 dollars games are sold on Steam for 36 reais here not 80 reais.
You don't have to agree, but none of you live here. And when I say we f*cking don't pay taxes for online service [which steam is], it's because we don't!
E-commerce is only taxed if we get a physical product delivered to us!
Yes, every PHYSICAL product is insanely expensive to us. Not Steam.
