Pre-order Bonus details
Do the pre-order bonuses install with a separate key? ie: two Steam keys given with the pre-purchase.

I'm trying to track down other sources which may have the pre-order bonus still attached to their copies. If there are two keys, it would be easier to confirm if the store or seller is offering the bonus masks or if the pre-order content can be given separately without the game.

There are not two keys. My order (from the Humble Store) was one key called Little Nightmares: Pre-order edition :ibb:

That's what I was worried about. Right now I'm in a situation where I am missing my bonuses after pre-ordering from a third party store. They took 3 extra days after release to get me my order and when I activated my key, it only installed the regular game. I launched it and checked under Extras and had no masks.

I now have the Fox Mask from Bandai's VIP Corner and it redeems as a separate code which gets added under DLC, so I wanted to check -- So the pre-order bonuses don't also appear listed in the DLC section?

Since I have activated the key already and have a copy of the game, I don't know if Steam would even accept another key activation without it informing me that "the account already owns the product associated with the code". Steam can be pretty unforgiving in this sense when trying to upgrade an edition of a game and not allowing it because you already own the base game. This is turning out to be a sour experience.

Oddly enough, they actually do appear listed in the DLC section.

I'm also pretty sure Steam would accept another key activation of the same game with DLC's included, I've done it a couple of times with no issues

Your information is very useful to me. Okay, so now I know that there isn't two Steam keys and the DLC is included in a special pre-order key. I also know that when added, the bonuses should appear in the DLC section.

I have another key from another seller, McGame whose store and eBay site both claimed to include the pre-order bonus. It appears to be just the regular game because Steam won't allow me to activate it. Instead it informs me I already own the game associated to the key. The game was activated from a different key and not this one. For all purposes, this key is still unused.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

McGame is selling Little Nightmares with the pre-order bonus on German eBay: Little Nightmares | PC Steam Code Download & play /Little-Nightmares-inkl-PreOrder-Bonus-PC-Steam-Code-Neu-Vorbestellung-/262915015303 and goes even further to list in the description once translated: "The scarecrow bag and the teapot mask included!" -- Unfortunately I could not buy because they didn't ship worldwide (even though nothing is being physically shipped).

Instead I didn't give up and searched and found the online store and bought it there based on a link description: "bandai-namco-entertainment-little-nightmares-incl-preorder-bonus-pc-steam-code"-- Logically I concluded that this would be the same as the one they were selling on German eBay with the bonuses. They have 17 copies of it sold with 5 remaining.

So I get my code and as I said earlier, it seems to be just the regular game. I can't activate it on Steam because it says it's already owned. I email McGame about how I'm missing my pre-order bonuses and go so far as to include links to both the game on their store and the eBay site and even take a screenshot of the description which all have mention of the pre-order bonuses. Several days later they reply with:

Hello,

thank you for your message.

As we've sold you this download as a download, it was also made available to you. There are no other additives.

...................................................................

They promise pre-order bonuses but only give me the standard key. It appears I've been cheated because the evidence is right in their own descriptions and links.

I'm glad I could be of some help but I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with the DLC's :sad_creep:
Do you think it is possible that I have the Steam key with the bonus items but I can't install it because I already have a previous installation active?

I can't confirm if the key from McGame has the bonus content because it already says I own the game associated to it. I think that if it included anything new, it would let me overwrite the other key with the added content because it would be different.

I know this is how it worked when I had a pre-order bonus key for God Eater 2 Rage Burst because it added God Eater Resurrection + pre-order content to my already installed God Eater 2 Rage Burst.

At some point I'm either going to open a PayPal dispute with McGame for false advertising or try to sell this extra key on my own. It would be so incredibly insulting if it would activate the pre-order bonuses for the person I would sell it to. It would also be embarrassing if the store wasn't scamming me after all and this key does have the pre-orders included.

One thing is for certain is the key I do have added to my account is just a regular key so the other store didn't make good on their offer either. I didn't buy through Steam so I can't ask for a refund and I don't know how to remove a key without wasting the money I spent to buy it.

No, the pre order extras do NOT appear listed in the DLC section of the game.

For the pre order version of the game, there is only ONE key.

McGame is well known for selling counterfeit (pirated, false, stolen) keys just as G2A does, better avoid that website next time, there's always available discounts either on Steam, IndieGala, BundleStars and other thrustworthy websites.

You can't activate another key on top of an already owned game, that's why you receive the message that it is already activated on your account. In the case of God Eater 2, that was an exception to the rule and maybe that game does not have copy protection or maybe was DRM free.

God Eater 2 was not DRM free since it added both God Eater 2 Rage Burst and God Eater Resurrection and activated them on Steam.

The only mask I have is the Fox Mask from Bandai's VIP Corner which is visibly added as DLC in the DLC section and readily available in my game. I have no Tengu Mask, and of course no Scarecrow and Teapot Mask. I don't have the soundtrack or the wallpapers. I've already bought this game twice in an attempt to resolve this.

If you're folliowing along, I bought the game as a pre-order from CD Key House and didn't receive the pre-order bonuses because they didn't give me my Steam key until days later after release. I then activated it and saw I had no pre-order bonuses. Then in desperation I found a German eBay listing from McGame which promised the pre-order bonuses with their copy. Shipping was not available worldwide, so I tracked down their online store based in the UK, ordered there, and received a Steam key which I can't even activate because Steam tells me I already own the game. I can't confirm whether the key has the pre-order bonuses or not. I just am assuming it does not since it says I already own it and feel cheated. I would think if the key held the pre-order bonuses it would be unique to the already existing key and allow me to activate the extras. The vague emailed response from McGame of "As we've sold you this download as a download, it was also made available to you. There are no other additives." seems to confirm the key doesn't even have the bonuses anyway.

As for chastising me concerning ordering from McGame, It's not as if I wanted to buy from them. I'm already upset because I've paid twice for this game and still have no pre-order bonuses. I was not aware of the "well known" reputation McGame had for selling counterfeit keys. Trust me there is not going to be a "next time" in regards to buying from their site.

I'm probably going to open a PayPal dispute to try to get my money back or a key with the bonuses with proof of the dishonest listing and links (which btw still remain unchanged and promise the pre-order bonus keys). (Little Nightmares | PC Steam Code Download & play /Little-Nightmares-inkl-PreOrder-Bonus-PC-Steam-Code-Neu-Vorbestellung-/262915015303) & (mcgame.com/uk/bandai-namco-entertainment-little-nightmares-incl-preorder-bonus-pc-steam-code). I just can't help but wonder if there's a chance their key might contain the pre-order bonuses and I just can't activate it. I wish there was a way to find out what the key contains without activating it and rendering it used. I'm aware I could create another Steam account to add it but if it has the bonuses then they will be tied to that account (insulting) or now the key will be used.

I know I should gotten the game direct from Steam while it was $16.99. I also am very familiar with and frequently use sites such as GreenManGaming, HumbleBundle, Indiegala, BundleStars, and etc. I really don't want this to become something I'm always going to regret - never having these bonus masks in my game. Neither of the stores I did order from were any places I had any past business with nor was I familiar with them. I have a few go to stores I trust completely with no bad experiences but they weren't offering pre-orders any longer. You can still get the masks for the PS4 version, why do they have to be so unobtainable for the PC version?

You could remove the current LIttle Nightmares game from your steam inventory, and then install the new one to see what it has?

To permanently remove a game from your account, you can follow the instructions here:

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3012199/software-games/steam-makes-it-easier-to-permanently-remove-games-from-your-account-heres-how.html

NOTE: this PERMANENTLY removes the game from your steam account. You can't get it back. This is just a suggestion to see what the other key has. If it is the base game and no additives, then you are back where you started.

I understand the sadness at not having the masks. I too missed out on the Pre-Order, and will not be able to get the pre-order masks unless they make them available to purchase as a normal DLC =/

This brings up the question, if I do that will I lose my Fox Mask DLC I have added? Is it linked to that game's key or can I use the key to add it to the game again? If I remove the game and lose my Fox Mask then I will have hurt myself even further and deprived myself of the one mask I do have. And now the Tengu Mask has been added...

I do not know, I am sorry =( I have only ever deleted games that I have no additional DLC for.

I am holding out hope the masks will eventually be available for those of us that missed them. Unlike a multiplayer game where pre-order items are a sign of prestige, this is just a single player one where the masks do not do anything but affect your own game enjoyment, so why not let us have them?

I don't recal anything stating they were exclusive in the advertisements for them, and I have seen games eventually release pre-order things after a year or so of the game being out, so I am hoping we get them in time

You can get the Fox Mask and now the Tengu Mask on Bandai Namco EU in their VIP Corner. I just am trying to find out if I was limited to only the one code or if I can get it again to add to the new key if I delete this one. Hmm, when I try to activate it again, it says "The Steam account already own products associated with this code" so hopefully it's tied to the account and not the key.
Dernière modification de Carpe x Noctem; 14 mai 2017 à 15h31
I see, I hope you can. At least then you can find out what your unused key contains.

I am grateful to have gotten the fox mask despite it supposedly not working for my country, so I am grateful for that.

It would be nice to be allowed to purchase the preorder ones too though =P

The Tengu Mask is now available from Bandai Namco EU too, and same. I'm glad the region restrictions are not enforced.

If I delete the version I have now installed and add the game again with the other key and can't re-add my key for my Fox Mask I will be depressed and upset. This is the best mask I have. I haven't even added the Tengu Mask yet because I don't want it to be lost either. I try to go back and get the code for another mask and it says I have already ordered this product. Clearly I need to try to do some research before taking such a drastic action.
