5. I don't have the slightest clue of what they are but i'm (slightly) sure that they once worship/had affectionate feeling for The Lady.
I say this because in the twin chefs chapter, before you get to see the first part of the kitchen there is an underground secret room that only nomes (or similar size creature) could come in. And in the room there's this tall portrait of The Lady, breakable statue and a sealed letter. It's almost like an altar or tiny shrine
7. I'm not sure if Six is related to The Lady, but one thing i'm somewhat certain is that Six know of The Lady's existence and vice versa.
It's shown in the preview of comic #1 in the page where The Lady takes off her mask. Six was pondering what has The Lady seen and hide.
As for The Lady, in the little nightmares official website, part of The Lady's description is as follows ", and now this rumour of an escaped child threatens everything."
I can't be certain if it was truly Six or someone else who escaped so i'll leave the theorizing to you.
8. In The Lady's character description, it states that "Amidst the chaos of the world outside, The Maw is the only place that makes sense".
Now the description may hint that the world outside is somewhat apocalyptic. But again it could hint into something else entirely.
As for the rest of your question, i don't think that there is an answer as of now, we'll just have to wait till all 4 comics are published
My assumption is that Little Nightmares is somewhat based on Japanese Folklore about shapeshifters such as 'Kitsune' (fox) and 'Tengu' (bird-man goblin). SIX is one type of 'Kitsune' or fox spirit aka shapeshifter manifestation/possession (clues: fox and tengu masks?). She could also be the daughter of 'The Lady' or not.
The shadow SIX is most likely some type of Kitsune since it's supposed to be a spirit. In order to survive in the physical world, they need sustenance and feed depending on how/who they manifested/possessed.
The hanged man I'm guessing is a human seduced/tricked by The Lady and gave birth to a child (SIX?) but he ultimately discovered that 'The Lady' is a fox-human (shapeshifter) and committed suicide?
The Chefs/Janitors could be guardian Kitsunes bound to serve The Lady or mother of all Kitsunes? No idea what the shoe monster could be...
The comic picture with SIX and 5 others in yellow raincoats have balls of fire or white spheres above them. This convinced me that they are Kitsune balls used for focusing their abilities. Also, Kitsunes don't use their real names as it can be used against them.
The guests could be under a spell (Kitsunes use mind control). Kitsune feed on elements and souls. The Maw is probably a realm or an illusion. There are more than one Kitsune, and they are capable of creating them.
Read about Kitsunes, it's interesting. Though I could be wrong about all this. Lol
In Japanese mythology, other demons like to feast on meat - Oni and some evil ghosts
There are different types of Kitsune (good and bad). Besides, the devs could have put their own spin on it. Also, there are Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese versions if I'm not mistaken with some stating it originated in India. It's a folklore.
To reiterate, I could be wrong with my assumptions.
Good or bad, Foxes are tricksters, not cannibals. They cause troubles to humans in other ways (and sometimes their target is not very good humans: greedy merchants and proud or boastful people)
Same. Any idea where to purchase it?
Also, I read in one of your recent replies that you didn't get the Tengu mask. I have an extra code if you fancy one.
It's not available yet, but I know of this one:
http://titan-comics.com/c/949-little-nightmares-1-little-nightmares/
that is for a physical one, the digital one is from here:
https://www.comixology.com/Little-Nightmares-1/digital-comic/491246?ref=c2VyaWVzL3ZpZXcvZGVza3RvcC9ncmlkTGlzdC9SZWNlbnRBZGRpdGlvbnM
that is mighty kind of you, if you want to part with one i'd be happy to accept, but i also wouldn't want to be a nuisance
Gotcha. I can wait. Thanks for the info.
Add me. The Tengu mask code (pic) will be under my Artworks. You can unfriend me after you get the code.
Alright i will do that, thank you again
if she is human, she's one with mystical powers. Not sure exactly what she is, but she's ambiguous enough that she can be whatever you think.
I am thinking the children in the game, including SIx, are not actually human, but rather something else. Six, for example, is the size of a toddler to the monstrous people in the game, and yet she's definitely older than that, and malnutrition wouldn't make her and the other children so small they can fit through mouse holes. So my money is on something human-like, but not human exactly
Yea , i've been leaning on humanoid but not quite human and your response brings some sense of relief but i think the developers might have said she is a human in another thread so this makes me even more worried.
they've also said she has no confirmed gender, but then say she's a 'she' other times. I think they like to keep mystery and vagueness alive, and i'm not convinced that Six or the other children are human.
