No sound in game at all

There is absolutely no sound in game from the very start. Alt-tab doesn't fix it. I downloaded another version from torrents and there is the same issue.

Do you have any external sound devices connected to your PC?

Open Windows Control Panel, click on Sound. Under Playback your default audio device should be highlighted. Click on Properties then click on Advanced in the menu bar. In the screen that comes up there will be a Default Format box. In that box will be a drop down menu containing selections for bit rate and Hz for your audio device. Try different settings in there to see if one of them will work in the game. Mine works at 16 bit, 48000Hz CD quality. Some games are sensitive to this setting. Don't know if this is one of them but worth a try.

Try disabling "exclusive mode" on your default audio device.

i HAVE A FIX!! go to settings and turn off fullscreen and then the audio will work and then you can turn on fullscreen again and it will still be there.

Nope. My game works with headphones but as soon as I play without headphones it's completely mute. Then I have to restart the game again with the headphones already plugged in, in order to get sound back. Ball ache! lol

I restarted pc and that seemed to fix issue. I releasise it may not work for everyone and is a pain. But seemed to do the trick here.
