Really, the game will last for as long as you let it.
No idea where you are getting that information as the devs have stated 4-8 hours.
Yes but if you understand the ways reviews work, they don't take their time because it is a rush to get it out first.
I am OK with 4-5 hours, that is perfect for this type of game.
This game is all about story and IMO 4-5 is a good length because you don't want it to outstay it's welcome and actually have a lasting effect on the player rather than something forgettable.
Quality over quantity is the metric in play here making each hour is worth more than £1 (the typical metric people go by).
As for DLC, i would love to see more from this world but know they are making a spin-off mobile title called "Little Dreams"
