Pure Bow Build advice
Greetings Ascended (Man, that takes me back to my Rift days).
I'm currently level 60 running a bow with the following skills. (I may butcher some of these skill names)
Strings of Kerion.
Arrow Hail.
Talon Shot.
Evasion.
Duskshroud.
I don't really want to change these skills, especially the asethetic 'bow' skills as that's how I like to play these games. However I find as the level's go up even trash mobs seem to take a few pews to down which means I need to start defining. My original goal was to have a high crit auto attack kinda thing going which worked well for a while.
If anyone has any advice on other skills, passive skills, gear types and its stats that would be grand. Most online wolcen bow guides are a year old now and as such the gate of fate have changed. My gear is all rogue with a focus on passive dodge as my orginal damage worked fine.
Any adivce no mater how small is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

What is going to hurt you is that -25% attack speed on the Rare Bows and higher.

What I did was on Gate of Fates:
01) I selected all projectile bounce options. Avoid pierce because if they pierce they do not bounce.
02) Chose all skill cool down options.
03) Chose all rage increase options.
04) The rest would be your choice.

I went primarily the Agility route as the dominant and tried to balance the other three. With Agility you fire off your arrows faster and more often. Combine that with bounce and you can wipe out mobs pretty fast.... depending on your bow damage of course.

End game (after the story) minor and major bosses will be your biggest issue. It will require a lot of dancing and skill usage.

Bows seem crap in this game. I've put in 300 hours and the best Bow I have seen maxed out at 280 damage. I have seen very few other Bows that are anything like that, most good ones come in about 240. However I have seen a TON of Pistols max out around 250 damage.

In short, I would dual-wield Pistols instead. They fire very very fast and thus generate a ton of Rage quickly. In fact they fire so fast they almost certainly out damage an equivalent Bow. And you will have 6 gem slots to play with.

Finally, while I appreciate that you are concerned with the aesthetic of the bow skills, it has to be said that Havoc Orb is probably the best ranged skill in the game.

Arrow hail should be enough to clear trash if you're stacking enough cdr, and Talon shot is a really good boss killer (just not as good as Havoc Orb ofc). Just follow a classic projectile build with Blessed Silver node in Exorcist, things like the additionnal projectile (the malus won't affect Arrow Hail and will greatly benefit Talon Shot thanks to the modifier that increases its damage per projectile when detonating), Undertaker node with the green globes, Immortal Offerring in Cabalist and Frenzied Blow in Child Of Fury while being full crit and you'll be very good.
Stings should be also good but not as strong as the other skills you got, and you can also play with the Phantom Blades (you can duplicate them, their charges are seperated) to help you clearing the trashes.

A bow dps wise is as good as a pistol, so yeah you're losing some attack speed and crit when going with a bow instead of dual pistol or other setup. But if it's funnier for you to play with a bow then go on, in some way it'll be stronger to play a lot with a bow than getting bored quickly with pistols or else :D
